Walking along one of the many streets of Brightvale, Lucas yawns loudly, before rubbing his eyes. It had been a long day, and he had worked hard. Harder than usual, since he had to put on a show for the children.
Stopping outside a small convenience store, he briefly checks if if needs anything. Milk's nearly gone off. Now seems a good time as any.
Shifting his bag slightly, he enters the store, picking up a basket on the way in. Heading straight to the frozen goods section, he takes a bottle of semi-skinned milk, and places it in his basket.
On his way to the checkout desk, he get a loaf of bread and a packet of skittles.
Queuing up behind a woman and her young son, Lucas notices two men walk into the store. From the way they were acting, they were definitely up to no good.
As if on que, the two men pull of a pair of shotguns, with one of them shouting "Get down or I'll blow your fucking heads off!"
Complying with the two men demands. Lucas and the other shopper hit the deck, as the other robber proceeds to raid the cash registers.
I front of him, the little boy whimpers, obviously scared. "Well...hero time" whispers Lucas. Placing his basket next to him, he starts to get up, but is stopped by the child, tugging at his shirt.
"Don't do it mister.... They'll shoot you"
Flattered by the child's concern, Lucas pats the kid's head, smiling reassuringly. Quoting his famous line "No need to fear. I'm am Justice", Lucas removes to child's hand and stands up, his left eye starting to glow.
Noticing Lucas, robber A trains his shotguns at him, shouting "What the hell do you think your during? I said get the fuck down!"
Smiling, Lucas continues with his speech " Where ever evil occurs, I will appear..."The area around starts to glow, his armor materializing. Moving his fist in front of his chest, he strikes his signature pose. "I am White Justice!"
After a brief moment of confusion, the robbers get ready to shoot. But before they have a chance to fire, Lucas materializes two chain-whips, and disarms to robbers.
Whipping the chains around, they connect with the villain's faces, knocking them out.
De-materializing the chains and armor, Lucas picks up his basket, and chucks and few dollars on the checkout. Waving goodbye to the little boy, He leaves the shop, smiling, just as the police begin to arrive. |
