u8sand said: lol yeah, simple but it seems there hasn't been much serious conflict going on. Only light fighting that seem like sparring. nullvistoler said: And Kenji "saves the day" ? That might be good, then he'd receive the respect of the villagers.I'm hoping something serious problem arise beside him being an outsider goes on in that village. BTW its nice that we got another person discussing, welcome :) Read it out of random curiosity and caught up to it too :) |

What is this about training at night, will he barge in again, if he does hes sure to get in trouble. |

If he does barge in, or discovered he's spying, he's definitely getting into trouble. |

He's to naive, he'll barge in just out of curiosity for the the martial art specially since it's the original Hui Bajiquan. |

---------------------- Chapter 2 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- He was well received, surprisingly - even more so with them wanting to help. Concerning Danui, I believe Kenji stumbled upon a lead here; get what I mean? |

I think his revenge has something to do with the Meng family. He's a Han brat, so I think it'll be a clue. |

Probably he knows something about the Meng, so that's why he's sort of aggressive. Their existence is still a secret, I suppose. |

He'll probably be detained. I think the government and assassins are still after the legendary Meng family, hence their hostility. |

Haha, well he's used to intimidation to say the least. I wonder if there's some kind of special kung fu used by the big bodied monsters. :-D |

---------------------- Chapter 6 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- So he defeats the strong guy, and everything is ok. Was it ok for Kenji to reveal his master who was thought to have disappeared? Will he learn something about his grandfather? PS. I've commented on the main Kenji Club page but I'm going to be away for two weeks. Leaving tomorrow, so i'll see you when I get back. |

I think this will make the old guy loosen up his mouth a little more. I'll await your next post before continuing the discussion here. I hope you return earlier than planned. |

Well i found a computer and decided to read the latest manga and post here. Don't know how often i'll be able to get on however. ---------------------- Chapter 7 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- Nice, so a history lesson, the guy he met actually witnessed the first time Li Shu Wen used the move that Kenji used. Very cool person to meet, will he be able to find about meng? Or was it already established that the names lack correspondence. |

************************ Volume 14 ************************ ---------------------- Chapter 1-6 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- Finally back, just discuss all the 6 we missed. So kenji finds some information on his grandfather, and finds himself in a new place with new martial arts hes interested in. He now just met another from his "brotherhood", how will this play out? |

---------------------- Chapter 7 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- Once again another ally is found :), that little brotherhood of his helps him quite a bit. He will now search for the greatest martial art in hopes of meeting his grandfather along the way. Sound fun! I however believe, what makes it great is the one who uses it, if you are experienced then any martial art will help, I also think to get to that point learning many martial arts and applying different things from each that you are good at would be the best way to make the best martial art for YOU, maybe not for someone else. |

It's not unrealistic. You rely on your ears more in this situation, but Kenji doing it so easily is somewhat unrealistic since he never had such experience. Yeah, Kenji could've been easily shot, but if he was the story wouldn't go the way, the authors want it now would it? That guy was panicking so of course he'd shoot. Though, it's kind of stupid for a trained soldier to panic so easily even if they're deserters... |

---------------------- Chapter 3 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- Okay it seems you're right. He won't be his laoshi after but the farmer guy. And this time I can't explain what that guy did either. If humans can manipulate wind pressure by learning martial arts, it's a monstrous thing indeed. And I don't think that's pure fantasy either, since this story is based upon the author's and there should be some even that made hid write this. |

Well I know their are some pressure points on the bottom that can completely paralyze an opponent. I'm sure both that "energy" thing and the "healing" are both very realistic, martial arts were designed with knowledge of human anatomy and was developed for centuries. It may be exaggerated a tiny bit but I'm sure both of those things are possible in real life just not to that extent. Like being healed in a second and being fine all the sudden, it would take a little rest and the healing and you'd be set. It seems kenji has a new goal and wont give up till he can at least hit that guy. |
Aug 3, 2010 10:59 PM
#139
Yes, I can agree that it can be used to heal bodies easily, but I just can't understand how it can do it without physical touch. I mean you'd need superhuman accuracy of movements to manipulate air pressure - a single mistake can make it something completely different. And same goes to absorbing energy, I can't understand how it's down. I wish it'll be explained during Kenji's training with the old guy. |

---------------------- Chapter 7 Discussion Starts Here ----------------------- Well he has improved quite a bit. He was able to stop all the attacks without striking back. An urgent matter, will he be able to fight his opponent? What could possibly have happened that made them need kenji to fight him. |
