My turn! Lady Iku sings that right? that is her as a kid?

Yep the lyrics posted earlier are correct for the counting song. However the latter comment referring t lady Iku is incorrect. I must admit that I am still at a loss as to who the village girl is but there are numerous pointers as to it not being Iku, aside from the fact that Iku does not sing this song at all.

She is present in two other songs. 1. the "Iku" song that speaks of her curse
2. Iku herself sings a song about the snow.

Besides these, it is highly unlikely that Iku was a regular village girl and it is further problematic as Irako proceeds to have sexual intercourse with the counting song girl.

No disrespect intended just clearing that up!!

To those wondering who the little girl is singing the "counting song", it is Seigen Irako's mother, who was taken advantage of and left pregnant by Kogan Iwamoto, years earlier, in the windmill.

Not sure I agree with the "kogan" part. Both the anime and the manga do not depict Kogan as the man who has intercourse with her. Kogan would have been aware of at the least the possibility of a child. Yet he only seems to acknowledge Mie. He , also, wishes that Mie was a boy so that she could succeed him.

Also I'm having trouble with the fact that the girl is so young at the point of intercourse but Seigen's mother is shown as a young woman when pregnant and giving birth. Therefore, I find it hard to believe that this is his mother at all.

Again, what I'm saying may not be conclusive and I'm open to hear evidence for the "kogan impregnation" case.
