I think Joey does not have control over heroman. If he did he would have MORE MORE options. If he doesn't choose to press the remote button, will another action appear. And what happens if it is too late to press the button?

In order to answer your question, first we must state how Heroman was formed.

Remember the field that was surrounding the spaceship upon entering "hyperspace"? Aside from the other technical stuff it may be used to protect it against the hydogen atoms floating around in the "vacuum" of space which are like bullets against paper, the contained "bubble" of their laws and space seals it.

You see, upon exiting, the increase in quantum fluctuations was unleashed and it affected the super strings in other dimensions simultaneously. The reality that was being observed changed in Joey's mind of the already existing "Heroman" and caused the toy to transform in relation to other possible infinite realities maintaining the laws of his own universe.

Now... the implanted AI in the chip could have been mutated and it has human-like reflections. Joey wants it to punch, he gives the command. It relates to behavior and efficiency. He also allowed Joey to save Lina by taking off the shield. Heroman knows his emotions. You see how it fits with the quantum irregularities? Simple!

Ok, I am fucking with you. It's an anime! It needs to be paced. Remember the extra powers in the opening? It's obvious there are much more but with more fighting spirit and more situations = more powers.

"If he doesn't choose to press the remote button, will another action appear. And what happens if it is too late to press the button?" What? This is a mind bogglingly silly question.

I voted yes but I actually think that it's a 50-50 thing.
He can decide some of the things that Heroman can do, but not all. For example, Heroman automatically protect himself against blows and that "purple" sphere "thing" appears around Joey out of nowhere when he could be in danger.

Hmmmm I was just wondering the same thing after watching Episode 2, Heroman seems fully capable of making decisions by himself, if that is the case what is the need of Joey having the 'controller' unless that is the only way for Joey to be able to communicate with Heroman.
