SHOOP DA WHOOP!" -Urban Dictionary Ok, Imma firin ma lazer, is a meme that is characterized by an image of someone or some thing, with a large black face (sometimes called "black face" for short) , two round eyes and a large mouth with a lazer firing out of it, accompanied with the text IMMA FIRIN MA LAZER. the meme's origins on youtube was from DominicFear's video: The Lazer Collection (below). He also made several follow up videos upon the lazer collection's success: The meme's origin in its entirety started with a picture of the character Cell's face being photoshopped to be black with a large mouth and white googly eyes. The reason it was done was to be reminicent of 19th Century American Minstrelsy. the original image is believed to have originated on 4Chan.  Of course many variations sprung from this, superimposing the face over many characters and situations. One of these variations was infact the beginning of the usage of the lazer firing (outward) scenario, as the original was believed to be "Cell with his mouth open proclaiming "SHOOP DA WOOP", a meaningless but intend-to-be-racist chain of black slang, then either a bloated Cell about to explode saying "OOPS I SWALLOWED MAH LAZER"" -http://forum.ebaumsworld.com/showthread.php?t=166607 The terms "Imma chargin ma lazer", "Imma Firin Ma Lazer" or "Shoop Da Woop" are the three captions that are most commonly associated with the video or image meme, the original apparently being "Shoop Da Woop". | yea, basically what you need to know is -some racist guy made a 19th century minstrel black face over cell (having him explode) -4chan users and internet users alike began to parody -memes exploded across internet, was found everywhere -lot of pissed of people arguing about its origins, however the dominant belief is that it's from a 4chan user |
