| I just picked up the first couple volumes, and it's actually pretty good. It has a somewhat darker tone than the anime, and I think its better overall. More people should give this series a try. |

| Maybe I'll pick it up, the anime should've been a tad darker. It gives off a pretty happy mood, all those different spirits etc. would have a much higher appeal if they were a bit more mysterious. |

| Yeah, the anime is kinda caught in a weird spot. It's not cute enough to be entertaining that way like Kamichu, and it's not got enough mystery to be engaging like Mushishi. The manga you can actually tell is a seinen series, while the anime kinda gives off a "kiddie" vibe. |

| unfortunately it seems that only one chapter has been scanslated and my japanese is not quite high enough to start reading manga raw. Maybe sometime during the summer when i've studied some more. But hearing that it is darker has caught my interest. |
