I have only watched the season 1 of My Hero Academia so far. I heard its a spin off and based on previous timeline of Deku. So can i watch Vigilante? Or there will be spoilers?

Yes u can it’s a spin off of mha and it’s a story before the season 1 basically a past thing so far in the first episode I didn’t see any spoilers for mha

Yes you could watch this series. Takes place 5 years before the main series. Deku mom made a cameo.

The only spoiler here is the drug the main villain used on those punks ( you will see it again in main series

Yes, you can, but I highly recommend that you watch up to the second season of My Hero Academia before starting Vigilantes (for plot reasons). It's not really mandatory but can improve your viewing experience.

Absolutely but there's just a small amount of plot points that are better if already seen in the main anime. Completely posdible to go in blind though

well for episode 1 so far, there are no spoilers. its also mentioned that it takes place before deku is enrolled in ua

I have only seen bits and pieces of MHA but read several volumes of this a couple of years ago. It didn’t affect my enjoyment of it at all. Honestly, I prefer this over the base show. I don’t think you will have too many issues watching Vigilantes without continuing with the main series. And you already know how the world works since you have seen some of the base series. I think you will be fine.

one thing to mention is that trigger is a big deal in vigilantes, so you wouldn't know of it without seeing the main series. Having said that, the only relevant thing about trigger is that it is a quirk enhancing drug. so even without prior knowledge you're not missing out on much, since vigilantes is almost definitely going to explain more about it.

I agree! I think this has a lot of potential as a way to flesh out MHA's universe more, personally I think the animations been better than MHAs aswell

You'll be fine, it's a spinoff that only shares some characters for fanservice sake. Just keep in mind that the characters are a lot less charismatic than the main series's cast, but they did get a lot more screen time to get fleshed out, while this one is just starting.
