How many volumes does the novel have? And how many do you expect to be adapted this season?

There are 6 volumes according to the translation site I read from. Season 1 covers volumes 1 and 2 whereas season 2 should cover volumes 3 and 4.

I read and enjoyed volumes 3 and 4, it should make for a great season. Didn't get to 5 and 6 yet, as there are some gaps in the translations at the moment.

There are 6 volumes and I'm pretty sure that is all.

Just like the previous guy said, the 1st season covered the first and second volume. For the second season though, it seems that they're going to cover the Kuri Kinton Incident (Volume 3 & 4 as the story spanned/splitted into two books), and the Chocolate Bonbon incident.

And that's judging from this promotional poster. The bottom one is the "Case of The Winter Exclusive Chocolate Bonbons", which is the title for Volume 6. Though I might be wrong. And if you're wondering, the fifth volume is just a collection of short stories that happened in-between the previous volumes.

@KrakenSTeiN Maybe they'll do a 15 episode season then? Considering they fit two volumes into 10 episodes, they could cover the remaining volumes 3, 4, and 6 in there, right? Kinda hard to imagine how they'd do it otherwise.

On another note, if volume 5 is just a collection of shorter stories, I would love to see it adapted into a mini-season or at least an OVA/Special, or even a movie. I'm honestly in love with this show, and just want to consume as much as I can get of it. Lapin Track is really going above and beyond for such an obscure series. It looks even better than Hyouka, and I personally enjoy the stories and characters in Shoushimin more as well.

@Herman97 Considering the episode counts is ?, that could be the case.

About volume 5, there are 4 stories there in the total. One of them is already adapted in season 1, the Berliner Bollen mystery. It could be likely that there'll be a second cour/3rd season to adapt the short stories and Vol 6. But who knows.
