A straight 10/10 from me.... this has become my favorite work from him so far.

Such an intricately woven story... The writing was simply otherworldly. In just 165 chapters, so much happened, yet it never felt rushed or stretched to meet the 8 chapter an arc criteria. Despite having a wide cast for a manga of this length, they were handled with remarkable care.

The constant back and forth between eras, covering from primitive caveman times to 2060s, yet the story never strayed from its core.

The storytelling and the sheer control he had over the narrative both were incredible!

Urasawa does it again! An interesting mystery that is gripping on the first half, and a underwhelming second half that by the chapter 110 to forward, which is always a flaw in the stories of Naoki since his manga is more about the journey than the destiny, which is always unsatisfaying. If it carried on with the same quality as the first part, would have been better... which is the same that happened with 20th century boys.

I read it in 2 days but by the time i got to the chapter 100-110 i just got through through since i enjoy reading manga anyway. But it is an interesting manga.

istg urasawa wouldn't be able to write a bad series to save his own life

absolutely crazy and beautiful story. ive never seen a writer that so immensely trusts his readers to follow along and connect the dots. its very rare to feel respected by a piece of media.
