Not everyone is a high schooler but they do have them sometimes. I don’t think it’s normal for them to be in high school but it’s not super rare either.

@PeripheralVision I didn't say it was uncommon. Just that it's a different cultural norm than where I live. And presumably different from where OP lives if their initial instinct was to wonder whether a girl that age would even be allowed. We could argue about what actually constitutes gravure modeling in different countries, but what about my original statement was actually incorrect?
| @MysticLyre Teenage modeling is not restricted to Japan, and is pretty widespread throughout much of the Western world in fact. Anyone who has been to a mall should be well aware of this. Claiming it is a different cultural norm implies here the fact it is somehow unique to Japan, though to be fair these forums are so hyper politicized that it may have have been an unfair reading into your original post, now that I think about it. |
