Publishing company Shueisha opened an official website for a television anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara's Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi (A Star Brighter Than the Sun) manga on Monday and revealed an illustration (pictured) drawn by Kawahara to commemorate the announcement. The anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
Kawahara (Ore Monogatari!!) began serializing the school romance manga in June 2021 in the Bessatsu Margaret magazine. Shueisha shipped the tenth volume on November 25. The mangal has a cumulative 2.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in May 2024 and will release the first volume on March 4.
Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi placed eighth in the Female Readers category of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2023 rankings.
Synopsis
