According to the official website, the releases of Dance in the Vampire Bund DVD & Blu-ray volumes 2 - 6 were announced to be delayed by one month. Natsu no Arashi! Akinaichuu and Bakemonogatari DVD & Blu-ray releases were also deferred for three weeks - one month. Bakemonogatari publicity staff said they wanted to air the second online episode by the end of January but there has been no updates since January 28th.

I am glad they take the time to make the BDs and DVDs great, but they sure do postpone things a lot.

This isn't looking good for Shaft, running 3 shows at once top quality is really catching up to them.

now really SHAFT. When delaying a release, there's a fine line between increasing anticipation in fans and annoying the heck out of them. >.<

Well, actaully...

SHAFT is doing two shows this season, Bund and Hidamari, plus the online episodes and a huge revamp for the Baka DVD/BD (cough vol4 cough)

Whats more, the studios they usually outsource their animation to is busy. One of their major collab company, SILVER LINK, is busy producing their own show, Bakatest, under the direction of Oonuma Shin (which happens to be Shinbo's student)

This means SHAFT is screwed for their animation schedule. So no surprises that stuff is delayed. They took on too much for them to handle >_>

I love SHAFT, but this is a typical case of biting off more than you can chew.

It's called "quality over quantity," people.

I can wait.. anticipation is nice and then I am sure the product will not disappoint.
Also I don't see why people are complaining about delays of things they won't buy anyway??

Hm, it's obvious they've taken on too much right now, did anyone even notice the random 1-second flashing red screens during Vampire Bund (especially the last two episodes)? It's not too noticeable or disturbing, but it does show they didn't finish animating them. And honestly, re-animating random scenes from Bakemonogatari just because it's for a blu-ray release.. completely unnecessary in my eyes. (Except for the snake episodes, those were horrible.)

They practically reanimated everything for the Snake ep in the BD.

The decision to not watch Bakemonogatari until it's fully released seems to have paid off.
