Seriously, why?
This also happened when Jojo's Stone Ocean came out. We all know Netflix likes to divide seasons in Part 1 & 2. }

I just want to mark this as "completed"

Same thing is happening with Re:Zero S3. I definitely agree that it's annoying.

I agree with you, in all these cases the correct thing to do is always to divide it into parts.

People complain if you devide it, people complain if u don't. It's a lose lose situation.

Idk. It seems better to just divide into parts if you are referring to the FINAL season as one anime. But Beastars doesn’t do that. It’s basically trolling anyone who thinks this really is the final season, but in reality this is just Part 1 of 2 of the final season. the marketing has been pretty bad with this info

Yeah I agree, Even though Netflix marketed this as part 1, Mal still has it as just final season. Hopefully some Mod corrects this.

Readthe site and tell me that there is no "part 1, part 2" thing...

Because we still don't have a release date for the remaining episodes: if they'll come out within three months, MAL won't make a separate entry*.

*unless they're marketed as separate seasons, like T.P Bon.

@Nirinbo It's not about seasons, it's about Parts. Like Attack on Titan.

@seweholmes Yes, and I said that if the next episodes will come out before March 5, MAL won't make a separate entry for them because they're part of the same season but too close time-wise.

A season is categorized by the staff that works on it, not by the time frame it comes out. If the director, producers, key animators, studio, etc are the exact same then it is considered part of the same season, even if it comes out 10 years later. Therefore this is the final season even tho it has a 2nd part that'll air later on.

I guess that's why it's labeled as still airing.
