@deg Oh, Kuroko. I watched it. But there are not so many moments of bl. This series probably has a large fandom of fangirls and fujoshi, but I don't mean the fans but the relationships between the characters and what they say to each other. I don't think they're that juicy in Kuroko

1)Hajime no ippo
2) haikyuu
3) burning kabaddi
4) Ao ashi
5) blue lock
6) kuroko basketball

when it comes to sports anime, the gayer it is, the more peak it's gonna be. like if you open up the manga and the first thing you see is two guys flirting you KNOW its gonna be a banger.

besides im pretty sure the author 100% does it on purpose. cuz when i watched vids of the blue lock exhibition in japan, all of the visitors are women so i think on the JP side the fandom is majority women.

You know what, I already know how much intentional those kinds of dialogue might be, so even if turned out to be a true BL in the end, I'm cool with it. The blue lock concept has done more than enough to keep me entertained anyway.

I’m just glad people are finally acknowledging it lol. I really enjoy this show. Even the second seasons trash animation didn’t bother me. But them boys gay as hell lol. I don’t even think you can call it subtext at this point. Maybe you could in season one… but season two? Shidou was quite blatantly tryna get in Sae’s panties 😅 While I find it hilarious (and sometimes shockingly audacious lol) it doesn’t detract from the show just being genuinely entertaining outside of that aspect.

Bro this was already acknowledged when the chapter came out I remember me and others were like “wth is this sus shit that shidou is saying?????😀” but most like me laughed it off like it’s already been talked about and ppl have moved on it’s really not that big of a deal, just some shock humor to make you shocked then you laugh it off🤣🤣🤣

Lol oh I find it hilarious. It be cracking me up 😭 It’s been like this tho! This season has been especially egregious, but they always have said sus shit like that. My sister calls me after every episode just to cackle about it lmao

I doubt any sport can be as gay as Yuri On Ice.

Most of this "subtext", as you yourself may have noticed, is only in the heads of the shippers. Especially if these shippers represent the opposite gender of the characters and simply tend to sexualize homosocial interactions of the opposite gender. I have nothing against this, but I quickly get tired when people start convincing others of this as an objective fact.

@CleanWhip The funny thing is that such people are usually unable to distinguish gay bravado from non-ironic communication and at the same time they themselves use gay bravado without any subtext.

@_Kaushal_ SK8 is a BL bait all-male show for a female audience created by the famous BL fangirl. The rest of the shows are all-male sports shows for a male audience that obviously never tried to imply anything gay.

@Lucifrost Because this show was created as meta fan service for girls who love all-male spokon anime. Similarly, at one time, Nanoha was created as meta fan service for guys who love magical girls.

@_Kaushal_ For what? She needs gay "subtext" and not sports shows per se.

@_Kaushal_ Thanks, I watched most of it. I think for me the best sports series is Ping Pong Animation. I recommend it. I also like Sk8 and Yuri on ice because they are super cute and they show sports that are rarely shown in sports anime
