Honestly, who let the Japanese promotion team cook? There's no way Netflix made a way better trailer than the JP team.

The latest trailer posted by TMS seems to focus on slice of life and got a lot of criticisms. Netflix (other than Netflix Japan) didn't post that trailer at all, I thought the final trailer posted by them today is that TMS trailer, but it's not. Netflix apparently made their own trailer and I was surprised it's so much better, it shows a lot of actions and has good sound designs.

The fact that a Hollywood style trailer made by the distributor is the best compared to all the other trailers by the producer or JP team themselves baffles me. What was the JP team thinking when they made the last trailer?

It’s a pretty badass trailer. I hope we get some real unexpected sakuga from TMS here, fingers crossed!

I was pleasantly surprised as well. Just wish they used Japanese audio or made it an option

And I was wrong, and I am happy lol. It has better animation than the other trailers, it still looks rough here and there but yeah 10x better than the other trailers.

@Drizzy_Dan they probably want to promote it to wider audiences. The English dub sounds good tho

You probably may have not watched many Netflix Trailers.
Sakamoto days aside, most of their original content is very bad in quality, but any promotional material like trailers, posters or anything are great.
It's not TMS's fault, it's just Netflix promotional team is too op

@Ruthless_Lord my bad, I was talking about the slice of life trailer made by TMS, not all the other SD trailers/pvs. It doesn't have to beat the Netflix trailer. But doesn't mean it has to unnecessarily upset so many ppl too like what they did with the SOL trailer.

Yeah genuinely the marketing has been the worst for any big show in recent memory.

I haven't watched the sol trailer that you are talking about, but earlier chapters of sakamoto days are more lighthearted comedy or sol. It gets serious later, so the sol trailer would probably be more accurate, at the very least for 1st part(12 episodes).

It's just as I said, Netflix makes good trailers but they just highlights the best part of the show, they would probably me more misleading if you compare it to tms trailer and the overall vibe of the anime(part 1).

I have only watched the Netflix trailer and I couldn't understand why everyone was complaining previously. lol. I guess Netflix knows how to market stuff. they are pretty good at trailer overall I'll say.
