Flora successfully manages to speak with Rio, but the conversation doesn't unfold as she had anticipated. Meanwhile, Liselotte and the others express their desire to show their gratitude to Rio, prompting him to make a specific request. Subsequently, he heads back to the spirit village to share the latest developments and insights he gained from his recent explorations.
In a surprising turn of events, Miharu discovers the truth about Haruto Amakawa.

Overall, I really enjoyed this series; however, I felt the animation quality could have been better.
I hope they enhance it in the sequel, if they decide to create another one.
Rated it 7/10 on MyAnimeList.

It seems unlikely that Haruto would go to as much effort as he has so far to conceal his identity, only to have it announced to all the people he was trying to conceal it from by a random master of ceremonies rather than disclosing it privately. It's very off-brand for him to A) reveal himself at all and B) to do so in such a showy, public way.

Given Miharu's ability, it makes the most sense, to me, that the final scene was a vision, not something that really happened. We already know that her power shows her the future, but not clearly and not always exactly as it actually happens. We also already know that because of this, she has doubts as the veracity of what she sees (she saw Haruto attack Lucius in a way that made her think he killed him, then misinterpreted that, then mistakenly assumed it would mean he would turn evil, then mistakenly assumed that because he seemed normal upon his return that the scene didn't actually happen, when it did, but not quite as she understood it...IE, her ability gives her information, but not exactly a full picture).
@amf85 Haruto seems to actually be keeping two identities secret. He keeps the fact he is Rio from the Beltrans cause he was basically a fugitive and fled the country and the fact he is Haruto Amakawa from the isekai'd people he used to know in Japan. There's no real reason for him not to tell everyone about his Japanese identity, other than Miharu et al. now knowing who he really is. But he'd have to tell them sooner or later, or they'd probably just figure it out.

@curzon17 I get that...it just seems weird. If he wanted to tell them, he'd tell them. He wouldn't have it be a shock announcement in the middle of a public event. Doesn't seem like how he does things. He's consistently tried to stay low key/low profile (though obviously very much at odds with his recent OP MC battles), such as acting like a commoner even though he now knows he's royalty, letting the Hero treat him disrespectfully despite being significantly stronger than him (I think), constantly trying to slip away any time people want to reward/thank him. Etc.

Hot take but i really liked the pacing, IT WAS NOT FUCKING SLOW AT ALL. I feel this is one of better paced anime for this season.
Better than first season.

My problem is they just fall short to be labeled as having 'good animation', but better than most average anime i've see this season.

The last two epsidoes really broke me. I lost it after MC finally meets his mother´s murderer and he has the balls to claim he had been searching for him for a long time. Tf bruh, you´ve done jackshit, at least from what I was able to tell. The entire time he has been travelling around and not once did he ask around in the various cities/countries about Lucius at all (as far as I can remember S1). Instead he just seemingly went from one sidequest to the next without ever doing a lick of research. I can maybe excuse this for a bit in S1 where he himself had the moment of realization that he lost sight of what his goal was. But what has he done since then? Why, after finding out he was actually royalty, didn´t he ask his grandparents for some modicum of help? Sure, they weren´t exatly thrilled about him seeking revenge. But I am sure they wouldn´t have left him to his own devices if he had asked for some assistance. Why not ask for information about Lucius when he saved Flora and Friends(tm) for the first time a while back? Who would be a better source of information than the people at the very top of the food chain? You saved various high-ranking nobles who are very eager to reward you for your efforts, ask them about Lucius goddammit! I understand he wants to keep a low profile, but that ship already sailed right past him after he swept away the enemies the nobles´ escort had so much trouble with. And as we find out this episode, they actually do know about Lucius! How much potentially critical information did MC pass up on by refusing to do any basic research all these years? Think about it, if he had been off by just a few days, he would have never come across Lucius, hell, he wouldn´t even have known there was any connection to him and the kindnapping if he didn´t happen to just come across his target for revenge by complete freak accident. Dramatical convenience at its absolute finest.

I had some hopes for this season, but that was unfortunately misplaced. The roundabout talking without conveying much information, the awfully slow pace, the absolute in-urgency the characters display all the time made it pretty infuriating to watch at times.

Hope we can get more seasons.

Even though this is "trash", it's of the better kind and doesn't make me want to tear my hair out.
