If i want to continue where the Og left off, what ep of the remake should i watch?

They have the same episode count they just redid the ova that's why this one has an extra. And the OG skipped Book 4 which as above said starts at episode 20. Because of that though Book 5 is the final arc adapted from the OG so to get everything you have to got back and forth either way. Season 2 of the remake should pick up at Book 5 though when that comes out.

the skipped arc (legend of thr pagan gods) is adapted at episode 20 and beyond.

I'd start the remake from the beginning. Even though it covers the same stories of feels different, the art feels colder and the characterisations feel different too. I honestly can't stand the new version of Holo.
