It seems unlikely that Haruto would go to as much effort as he has so far to conceal his identity, only to have it announced to all the people he was trying to conceal it from by a random master of ceremonies rather than disclosing it privately. It's very off-brand for him to A) reveal himself at all and B) to do so in such a showy, public way.

Given Miharu's ability, it makes the most sense, to me, that the final scene was a vision, not something that really happened. We already know that her power shows her the future, but not clearly and not always exactly as it actually happens. We also already know that because of this, she has doubts as the veracity of what she sees (she saw Haruto attack Lucius in a way that made her think he killed him, then misinterpreted that, then mistakenly assumed it would mean he would turn evil, then mistakenly assumed that because he seemed normal upon his return that the scene didn't actually happen, when it did, but not quite as she understood it...IE, her ability gives her information, but not exactly a full picture).
@amf85 Haruto seems to actually be keeping two identities secret. He keeps the fact he is Rio from the Beltrans cause he was basically a fugitive and fled the country and the fact he is Haruto Amakawa from the isekai'd people he used to know in Japan. There's no real reason for him not to tell everyone about his Japanese identity, other than Miharu et al. now knowing who he really is. But he'd have to tell them sooner or later, or they'd probably just figure it out.

@curzon17 I get that...it just seems weird. If he wanted to tell them, he'd tell them. He wouldn't have it be a shock announcement in the middle of a public event. Doesn't seem like how he does things. He's consistently tried to stay low key/low profile (though obviously very much at odds with his recent OP MC battles), such as acting like a commoner even though he now knows he's royalty, letting the Hero treat him disrespectfully despite being significantly stronger than him (I think), constantly trying to slip away any time people want to reward/thank him. Etc.

Hot take but i really liked the pacing, IT WAS NOT FUCKING SLOW AT ALL. I feel this is one of better paced anime for this season.
Better than first season.

My problem is they just fall short to be labeled as having 'good animation', but better than most average anime i've see this season.

The last two epsidoes really broke me. I lost it after MC finally meets his mother´s murderer and he has the balls to claim he had been searching for him for a long time. Tf bruh, you´ve done jackshit, at least from what I was able to tell. The entire time he has been travelling around and not once did he ask around in the various cities/countries about Lucius at all (as far as I can remember S1). Instead he just seemingly went from one sidequest to the next without ever doing a lick of research. I can maybe excuse this for a bit in S1 where he himself had the moment of realization that he lost sight of what his goal was. But what has he done since then? Why, after finding out he was actually royalty, didn´t he ask his grandparents for some modicum of help? Sure, they weren´t exatly thrilled about him seeking revenge. But I am sure they wouldn´t have left him to his own devices if he had asked for some assistance. Why not ask for information about Lucius when he saved Flora and Friends(tm) for the first time a while back? Who would be a better source of information than the people at the very top of the food chain? You saved various high-ranking nobles who are very eager to reward you for your efforts, ask them about Lucius goddammit! I understand he wants to keep a low profile, but that ship already sailed right past him after he swept away the enemies the nobles´ escort had so much trouble with. And as we find out this episode, they actually do know about Lucius! How much potentially critical information did MC pass up on by refusing to do any basic research all these years? Think about it, if he had been off by just a few days, he would have never come across Lucius, hell, he wouldn´t even have known there was any connection to him and the kindnapping if he didn´t happen to just come across his target for revenge by complete freak accident. Dramatical convenience at its absolute finest.

I had some hopes for this season, but that was unfortunately misplaced. The roundabout talking without conveying much information, the awfully slow pace, the absolute in-urgency the characters display all the time made it pretty infuriating to watch at times.

Hope we can get more seasons.

Even though this is "trash", it's of the better kind and doesn't make me want to tear my hair out.

It has been a few years since I read the light novels so watching this season 2 was me basically trying to recall all the details in the LN that I forgot. The first two episodes was hard to watch for me due to how much they changed it from how things happened in the LN. I started to enjoy this a lot more from episode 3 onwards. Is it just me or did the anime change a lot of scenes with Subaru... ehem, I meant Hiroaki? I remember him being absolutely insufferable at the start of the LN but he felt a bit more tame or even likable in the anime. Well, the true insufferable character (Aki's older brother Takahisa) is not yet introduced in the anime.

Overall, I enjoyed watching this anime a lot despite the changes they made to the LN and the terrible animation quality. Probably cuz the pacing was just perfect for binge watching. I'll give it a slightly higher score than it deserves since the average rating is quite low haha. Hopefully, we get more seasons cuz the LN is amazing. I soo want to see the scenes with princess Christina in anime format :3

S1 was definitely better, but it wasn’t too bad. I must say that Rio got a bit on my nerves when he didn’t admit to the princess that he’s Rio. Also, hope Mahiru finally realizes this Haruto has the same memories as her childhood friend

Typically way to wrap up this season and leave us on a major cliffhanger for the next season (if we get one).
I feel this season was way too rushed compared to the first season, which I felt was just more polished.

Overall, a good seasonal watch and hope for another season to continue it, although with better pacing and visuals.

Rio brings back Flora and lets the others know about the culprit’s identities, especially Lucius. We get to know more about Lucius from the Duke. Reiss embedded a magic stone into Lucius, so I wonder what he’ll become.

As a reward, Rio asks to be allowed to join the evening party to reveal the heroes, where he wants to meet the Hero of Galarc, Sumeragi Satsuki.

Hero of Restoration, Sakata Hiroaki. Hero of Centostella Kingdom, Sendo Takahisa. Hero of Beltrum Kingdom, Shigekura Rui. 4 heroes.

Haruto’s full name is mentioned in the party, and Miharu is shocked.

There wasn’t much in this season. Hope the next season gets better, if we get one that is.
