I've seen the first episode, with my backlog and the amount of awesome anime coming out I might see the second episode in 2020 along with the second episode of To Heart 2.

Phantom, I'm really going to try Da Capo. I'm not going to start watching it and try to pick out ever single flaw, I'm going to try and enjoy it for what it is. As for exceeding Zipang, that is impossible!

I know, was only joking. Zipang sounds like something i would enjoy but there are other things that i would rather watch first. Da Capo wouldn't be something i would normally get into. Looks a bit too Shuffle like to me and one episode of that turned me off the show.

YOU WILL BURN WITH THE FURY OF A THOUS -- ...Oh, oh... I see. You have finally awoken to the true merits of Da Capo! All praise Jon for his courage! One of us! One of us!

All joking aside, I have to say Da Capo isn't for everyone. I really liked it because it almost consistently offered me something I found tremendously interesting in the way the show is presented. I found it not only unique, but actually good as far as romance anime goes. For once, you're never sure as to the outcome of the final pairing; you're always guessing as to what you're going to be shown next. Colour palette could have been better, though the animation suits it just fine.

Oh yeah, early warning if you're going to go all the way: don't watch some episodes at midnight while in the basement with all lights off. Believe me, I know this!

So what the devil is Da Capo again? I keep thinking it's (by appearance) fairly mindless (haremmy?) moefluff.

^it basically is a harem, but there is a supernatural and siscon element in it that gives it a twist.

Okay, so I watched the first episode of Da Capo. I can't believe I decided to start watching this versus playing Lost Odyssey, but oh well.

The first episode was kind of...meh. All the characters so far except for the main dude (don't know his name yet) annoy the living crap out of me. Maybe it's the Japanese voices, since I primarily watch dubs.

I'm also not a true fan of the animation, nothing is really unique about it. The colors feel like their washed out, and the style has been done a million times before.

And why does one of the girls where a bell on their neck? That's retarded.

What I do like though: The awesome bobble head cat seen throughout the episode!

Without knowing what you disliked about the characters, I can't say if things will stay the same or not. I will say the first episode does a good job of setting up the foundation for their personalities and relationships with each other, so if you don't like what you see now, it probably won't get any easier to continue for you, if you ever decide to do so. I found the characters to be very lively and I thought they made the episode interesting, but it's a matter of personal preference really.

As for the animation, you won't find a fan of Da Capo that won't tell you it's the lowpoint, so there's nothing to say about that.

I'm not sure what's wrong with a character having a bell on her neck. I thought it was an interesting choice for an accessory. It's actually there for a reason though, and has significance in the story on more than one occasion, so it's only going to become more prominent.

Well, at least you gave it a shot.

^I don't give up on series that easily, I'll probably stick with it to the end. I don't hate it - I just don't really like it. I watched the second episode, and I actually enjoyed it considerably more, though I do still find the Japanese voices annoying.

If you're going to stick with it then I hope you get some kind of enjoyment out of it.

So it was the voices of the characters' that you didn't like, I guess. Or at least, primarily. Those don't change, obviously, so hopefully you can get used to them or at least be able to tolerate them.

Odd, I thought it Hajime hated Da Capo...or was that just the second season?

I can't say this show is anywhere on my radar...maybe like Westlo I'll get around to it in 2020.

What drew me to Da Capo was how well they portrayed different aspects and scenes. You have a bit of everything thorough the whole series and I liked the slight surreality of it. But what I found most interesting is that no matter how bizarre it may get, it still feels grounded and believable. I know that's what made it for me.

As I said, it's not for everyone. So if you can't stand it, just drop it.

He is a devout follower of Da Capo, but a fervent boycotter of D.C.S.S.

I -- I thought it was a good investment! We're seeing returns, so it's fine, right? Right? I mean, it's just a few bribes, nothing there. It's really our fervor that's paid off!

Yes, Da Capo Second Season(read: bad out of character fanfiction) is the one I hate. I love the first season.

I'll let it slide this time, only because the use of the word Da Capo is up 83.9% from last month, but don't let it happen again.
