Okay, do you want me to feel happy? Because the bullies got what they deserved? That is relative. No, she didn't want him to die, she hated him, but expecting him to die isn't the way she expected this sloppy manga to close.
The only reason sensei didn't kill him was to make us believe he wasn't the bad guy, but I haven't forgotten that he made her daughter listen to her parents' misdeeds.
I wanted him to redeem all those people who hurt him and his student because you know something? Making life hell for them makes him a scum like those who hurt him.
If they had redeemed themselves, for example, if their father had admitted that he was an idiot and had started from scratch in all their interpersonal and work relationships or if they had realized that they need to forgive to move on, or something better than that. the bully realizing that he should change for the sake of his daughter because he truly loves her and cared about her. But in the end he became the same trash as them.

No more series of this author for me.
I like to post in manga forum when I feel it is worth it, so people will think. "Shit, is her again" or something.

People asked me where I read certain thing but the rules say no telling where did you read so maybe I am too boring for not saying? Or salty because you didn't check my profile that says don't ask because I hate people to ghost me after that. I love learning languages so maybe I did not read the manga in English.

The buildup was great, and the ending is satisfying but it somehow feels lackluster near the end...

I really enjoyed it, but it almost felt boring even though it wasn't but I'm oddly disappointed yet completely satisfied with the story.

It's what I wanted, but I guess on reflection it's kinds too basic.
What bothers me the most is how Yumi shouldn't be forgiven. At least I wouldn't. So, that feels weird.

It felt like an 8 the first half but from the I guess predictable yet satisfying ending, 7/10.

@LastLuminescence what the fuck are you talking about? the father was unrepentant till the end. did you not read the fucking manga? that bastard father was given numerous chances, and the fact that he failed to take any of them shows that he was irredeemable.

he was irredeemable, understand? do you have any idea how much strength of will it must’ve taken for aizawa to do what he did? to make something of himself after being bullied that way? instead of just killing himself? do you have any idea how much pain he must’ve gone through?

and then you have the gall to compare him to the bastard unrepentant fuck who did it all to him?

AIZAWA SAVED HIS DAUGHTER, RETARD; even in death that man should be eternally grateful to aizawa for having done so.

@Scheherazade05 Honey you take a post pretty personal, it was the last chapter so I did a general analysis and yes I know he didn't want to change but that would have given the manga a better touch instead of the classic cliché of "I punished the bad guy by doing the same thing so I'm free from being the bad guy".
Taking offense at me to prove your point makes you look childish and like you're projecting, I read it two years ago so I'm not clear on everything but no, the way he handled things and the psychological torture he gave his daughter is not saving her, I wrote the word "if" but you didn't pay attention, look up "wishful thinking" in the dictionary. This manga is a classic example of a hackneyed series where everything works thanks to the protagonist and is sanctified because he had a sad background no matter how cruel he becomes in the present.

@LastLuminescence Sorry for coming in so hot before, but I feel like you're being way too harsh to Aizawa, and comparing what he's done to what Suzuki Shinji (the dad) did to him is totally unfair. He didn't "punish the bad guy by doing the same thing", that's fucking ridiculous.

-----

Why did Suzuki Shinji's life fall apart?

Well, the first reason is that he was cheating on his wife with the basketball teacher. that's what caused his wife to divorce him, that's what caused him to get fired, and that put a serious dent in his relationship with Shiori. This is completely his own fault.

The second reason is that he relentlessly bullied Aizawa and made a life-long enemy out of him. This is also his fault entirely; he did it because he's a derisive, contemptuous tyrant who believes that "might makes right"

All Aizawa did was reveal the truth about Shinji to the right people; mainly to his wife, his daughter, and his employer. The point is this: none of what Aizawa did would have worked to destroy Shinji's life if Shinji wasn't a fucking scumbag in the first place. He was already cheating on his wife, and his daughter was already getting bullied without his knowledge while feeling like she couldn't talk to him about it.

-----

Even in spite of everything he did TO Aizawa (bullying him mercilessly), and even in spite of everything Aizawa did FOR him (save his daughter from bullying and suicide), Aizawa still gave him a chance to redeem himself and apologize in the chemistry lab when Shiori was listening in, and he THREW AWAY AIZAWA'S KINDNESS. He's an ingrate.

Also, Aizawa isn't even the one that killed him! He was killed by the owner of that factory that he belittled in front of his own daughter. It's as Aizawa predicted; the way Shinji led his life was by making enemies wherever he went, and it was always going to catch up to him sooner or later.

Aizawa didn't fucking do anything wrong. Can you at least explain how on Earth you're arriving at the conclusion that Aizawa is "cruel" or "did the same thing(s) that Shinji did"? Like, in what fucking world?

-----

So now let's talk about your "wishful thinking": "if their father had admitted that he was an idiot and had started from scratch in all their interpersonal and work relationships or if they had realized that they need to forgive to move on, or something better than that. the bully realizing that he should change for the sake of his daughter because he truly loves her and cared about her."

You're saying you would've preferred if Shinji had accepted Aizawa's deal in the chemistry lab and apologized?

Sorry, but that isn't always how life works. There are people in this world who are truly unrepentant, who take advantage of everyone they possibly can and remain unrepentant until the end. Shinji was one such person. If you want an example of someone who does repent for their actions, look at Shiori's friend Yumi. That's someone who "realized that they should change".

But how could something like that possibly be in character for Shinji? What you are suggesting would simply be dogshit writing. Why would the man who relentlessly bullied Aizawa, who's cheating on his wife, who's neglecting his daughter, suddenly change that way?

-----

Finally, if you don't like the way Aizawa handled things with Shiori and wish he had intervened sooner, he says as much himself. The fact that Shiori was Shinji's daughter caused him to hesitate in saving her, and even to enjoy watching her be tortured. He admits this and apologizes for it (something that Shinji NEVER ONCE FUCKING DOES FOR ANYTHING by the way).

Either way, she was already being bullied PRIOR to Aizawa's involvement, and say what you will about his method of doing so, but he SAVED her. She would've been way worse off without his involvement.
