Yes it covers everything. Some say it's not entirely the same as the manga, but from what I've seen the ending seems to be identical. So I guess they just cut some parts which is likely since the manga has more than 100 chapters and each chapter has several pages, so all in 12 episodes can't have covered everything.

The anime left out one complete arc of the manga and omitted the main character of that arc As a result that character was left out of the ending to the anime

Without spoiling anything - anime covers basic manga plot but cuts A LOT, and I mean A LOT of content.

Manga itself has 112 chapters, this anime has 12 episodes. You can already imagine the sheer volume of cut content.

But despite that I do not consider this anime bad adaptation, just light version of the entire story.

I would recommend the manga without any doubt, if this anime made you cry manga will give you heart attack on how deeper it is.

@BrotherCoa yeah you right. Mostly manga to anime adaptation cover like 45 chaper per 12 episode
But after complete the anime, i can tell even im not reading the manga, they need to cut lot of story
But anime covered the entire story and that was good. I curious about the manga but, maybe i need a moment before that

Reading the manga before the anime was 10000000% the right call.

If you're interested in this series, I HIGHLY suggest you start with reading the manga. The anime covers the core story, but it's very rushed, and the story is out of order, with MANY parts cut. This is especially the case when it comes to any of the side characters or even his daughter's parts. Whether it's their interaction with the mains or their parts of the story in general, they are very watered down in comparison to the manga. This is also the case for some parts with the main characters and the core story, but to a lesser degree. As a result, the anime comes off as choppy and rough with less character building and a lot less feeling and impact compared to the manga. Whereas the manga is a much more complete experience, pulling at your heartstrings more often and leaving you crying with impactful moments in every volume.

Don’t waste your first time with this story on the anime; go for a better experience and read the manga. If you do, you won't regret it; just be prepared for a sad story with lots of feelings, but know that you will have a sense of relief at the end of it all.

@Kursan The manga is worth it.
