He has always been playing the dog of the nobles : Remember the royal academy phase.
| @DragyG At that point it was different because he was nobody without even power to back himself, and going against nobles in a country he lives could just gives problems Now his act is strange because he doesn’t belong to that country (even a prince of a country himself) and have enough power to get himself from any situation. 1. Outside the palace was pretty calm, given everyone were unaware of whats happening inside. Nobody expected them to go stealth inflitration inside the palace. | @V1P3R0P 1 - while just jumping in and breaking a window may be too much , the anime presented this as if they don’t care at all that they sense those demons, at least show some inner monologue some form of concern And sending more soldiers in may not give any result if they will just die 2- true 3- iirc the demons first show up before they saw her being kidnapped, he could just kill all of them instead of going casual |

Because, as I explained in point 2,the hero was with them and expected him to take care of things if it went south. And it's not like they were having a picnic down there. They probably would have been discussing what next to do. How to secure the parameter where people have evacuated, how to repel the invasion etc... Though I agree they could have shown it in a different way. 3. He cant use an area attack as it could also hit the people around him. His hesitation was also due to, people being around and in danger.... |

| Two answers 1. The whole plot is kinda meh.. 2. Rio is a terrible mc Rio literally didn't give a f about Aisha warning, kept thinking Celia is some weak damsel in distress. When Flora was captured he just stood without again trusting his partners. And because it's in this thread for some reason. Aisha best girl no cap, if you disagree you are just wrong. |

It would be funny if this were a parody anime, but as it stands, it’s just infuriating. |

He’s always ready to bow down and wag his tail for the nobles. The entire season has revolved around this—him meeting nobles, being endlessly thanked, and then brushing it off with, "I’m nobody special, everyone helped me beat the monsters, so it’s not a big deal." |
| Everything in the LN feels more urgent, or is happening a lot quicker. In the LN when Haruto reaches the mansion he immediately notices monster inside, but he he thinks that telling Lieselotte wouldn't really help as he believes that she has no reason to believe him and even explaining Aisha would prolly lead to confusion and not change the situation quick enough, he then tells her that he senses something up there and Lieselotte replies with "okay I'll send a servant to check" but then the explosion happens and like a sentence later Lucius runs out the front doors. He wasn't standing on a wall, he was sprinting, Lieselotte's soldiers tried to surround him but he was so fast that he broke through easily. He mocked everyone on his way out the front gate while Flora was screaming... and then he was gone. Rio had barely any time to react, he recognized the voice, but the revenants were already on the attack (they were also all coming through the front doors AND from the hole like in the show), there was more chaos and Haruto, after Celia gave him the okay to chase after Lucius, just took off running using his wind arts to accelerate his body further. He didn't fly in a very slow manner (it looks so bad in the show), he leapt up into the air after he had the trace of Lucius and immediately saw him in the distance, then used his wind arts to propel himself forward while falling down. If you want to read the chapter to get a feel for it, it's v08 Chapter 8: Daybreak Rondo. The pacing in the show feels not right, everything is slow... I blame it on the animation. Panning shots, stills, slow movements, this all doesn't help when a scene is supposed to feel urgent. |
