Laust should've been more careful this episode. That cut to the arm looked nasty.

The thunder beast turned out to be no pushover and what he did to Laust really triggered Narsena. So reckless tbh. Laust was in a bad mood either so it seems this episode is much more different than the usual lighthearted vibes.

Okay, if you say so.

Loved the Fenrir fight. Was expecting to see more of the Griffin fight, but the episode was fun nonetheless. Excited to see what Laust is gonna do regarding Narsena getting kidnapped.

@Elero I didn't think that guy would turn out to be that much of a villain, but turns out I was very wrong. This entire episode is much darker than normal.

Another very good episode -- the story only improves!

Until then, we have no doubt about Narsena's forcible role... it is reasonable to infer Laust's fate is tied to Narsena's, but the story may develop in an unexpected way.

I just now noticed the irony that the glasses knight guy almost always has his eyes closed, thus rendering his glasses useless :P

That was such a lovely but tragic episode.
MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE MANGA.
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Lol. Her back is against a wall and an entire team is looking at her, but Hanzum sneaks up on her and no one sees the door magic before he does so? Then no one reacts until he initiates the door magic and is already within the corridor on the other side?? Between that and multiple enemies (like the Hydra in episode one) just waiting on parties to attack or flee, I'm convinced this world works on JRPG time and people can't act until it's their turn.

"What would a warning have accomplished?"
"People could have prepared for the attack or even evacuated!"
"All we knew was that an uprising was imminent, but it could have been a week, a month, or even several years away. There is no point in warning people of a disaster if we don't know when it will occur."

This has to be one of the stupidest statements I've seen in anime, and I've seen a lot of stupid statements in anime. Even worse, the MCs just accept it.

Any amount of preparation would have helped. Knowing exactly when would be nice, but is not remotely necessary.

Out of the three of them, Only Ralma appears to have any brains.

And just like that, the show has lost me. Instead of addressing the questions raised over the past few episodes, it keeps piling more on top. Half of this episode felt unnecessary. The fights were dull and seemed like nothing more than time fillers.

The only real progression in this episode was Mist revealing that he knew the rampage was going to happen, and the royal capital doing the bare minimum while planning to sacrifice the common people to handle the crisis. Ralma became a human battery for the magic barrier, and Hanzam further proved himself to be a shady character (which we already knew).

So now, we’ll likely get another fight (or a couple of fights) in the 11th episode, followed by a rushed attempt to answer the remaining questions (if there are any answers) in the final episode. I don't like this pacing at all. The show went from an easy 7/10 to a 5/10 in the last two episodes, and I doubt the final two episodes will do it any justice.

Dude... that new apprentice is such a dirtbag. I hope he turns on Mist just based on a past line he had as well as connection to MC. Sacrificing Fire Goddess potentially is brutal.

I wonder if Laust can do that space transport thing too in his unicorn-thing-form. So we have Hero, Dungeon Master, Dragon, Princess, Laust, Mist as the most major actors, with some others being on lower levels. Possible layover since we don't know who DM, Dragon, Hero, or what Laust is.

@Desi_Nehra I kept at 5/10 since beginning, never had much expectations. These types of shows have bad habit of just adding more questions.

Yeah, Hanzam has only repetitively proven to be trash, but still feel he'll do SOMETHING good in future.

@Mellow_Heat I feel your disappointment. They've cut a huge chunk of the story and death from the manga leaving just monster fights.

So now we know what all the pillars are for, Ralma made a barrier to protect the town.
That Fenrir as a really tough enemy but that managed to work together.
Hanzum kidnaps our princess at the end.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

See, I knew it

The whole thing was caused by the Guilds, and they WANT people to die...

Since they didn't tell anyone about it, since the whole thing was caused by them.

Which means... the statement "we don't know when it will come" is purely BULLSHIT... since they KNEW EXACTLY when it will come... as they're the one that caused it.

.

And now, they made MC's master into a living shield... (aka, the same exact shit from another series, Maou 2099, using a living being as a power source), this thing is constantly draining her power, and she probably can't escape until the Guild Master lets her out, meaning once her power runs out... it'll most likely start to drain her life. Which is why she said "Goodbye" to MC.

.

Which means... the main Antagonist of this series is actually the Humans (at least the Higher ups that controls all Guilds).

I want MC to become an "Anti-Hero", so he can start to go kill those stupid Humans. Too bad MC is too nice for that. Since he let his bullies go free with barely any punishment.

In fact, I think MC's master approved of this... since she told MC to be cautious of Mist. Which the dude works for the Guild. Meaning MC's master at this point while wants to protect the people, she's hinting at the MC to go against the Guild.

Mist being the last remaining Elf survivor who's endured for a few hundred years, he's the master of masters.

The labyrinth uprising has been known to him for quite the while, though this would necessitate an evacuation where Mist and/or Hanzum would rather keep the news to themselves, it turns out that it was caused by the Guild in retrospect, the last line of defense with the pillars to protect from situations like this (where it clearly failed), and now asking for Ralma to sacrifice herself to save Mardat, it's a lose-lose situation knowing how much magic this endeavour would take her magic, let alone the possibility of losing her life.

The monster mutations are not getting any better with the appearance of more monsters, and the party is constrained by the endless mutations so much so that it almost cost Laust his life, and Narsena awakens her anger to help Laust buy time for his recovery to defeat the fenrir.

Impeccable teamwork from the both of them, but for Narsena to be copped out by Hanzum to fulfill her role, the story will ultimately unwind her plot.

narsena's the sacrificial lamb, and laust shouldn't have put his guard down since ralma advised him to keep his guard up at all times.
