Another one of those episodes to hype up a festival event.

Unfortunately for Yuki, it seems she's having nightmares and could only find comfort with Hitoyoshi. This goes to show how much she trusts him. On a funny noe, Yuki's appetite for food never ceases to amuse me.

Yuki is soo damn precious man. Best girl of the season, no doubt. This was the most emotion and vulnerability we’ve seen from her all season long and when you consider the awful backstory we now know for her, makes total sense.

If anything I’m surprised she’s been able to sleep without Hitoyoshi cuddling her this whole time holy shit. Watching your parents get killed in front of you and being kidnapped at such a young age just for your sister to start hating you because of a job you were FORCED to do. Yea that’s fucked. Did not see her as being a childhood celeb, explains her language proficiency and other talents but it’s insane to think you have this secret organisation moving in the shadows and watching for talented kids to prey on.

On the bright side, we do have the Katsuda festival coming up but damn Yuki grades are pretty ass for how smart she’s supposed to be. That’s kind of cool tbh that she struggles academically and isn’t completely perfect. Grace bribing Yuki with improving her score is so messed up, I thought she wanted to be friends with them 😭 and Naka makes her move finally. I feel like she’s a good girl, but the dude she was with looks up to no good.

Next ep should be great

Yes, I want more school event because I just want to see Hitoyoshi's friends Taiga and Kobachi, they seem to be dating even though they claim to love woman.

Man, she had it rough. Her parents were killed because she was a prodigy her kidnappers wanted for her talents? DAMN. Cold.

"Don't distract me when I'm getting my ramen on."
Yes Ma'am. And I mean ma'am with grace wearing that tight tank top
"Apologize to the ramen, damn it!'
Sorry ramen.

Yuki's face at the sauce disaster. "Fin"

Hitoyoshi is a Chad reacting to the sleep next to me requests. Rather than the typical awkward ebbaressment meltdowns of an MC, at the first instance he recognizes "distress signal" and give comfort, and the 2nd time, after short hesitation, roll with it and give comfort again.

So, Yuki was always talented even before she was recruited as an assassin, and tragically, her skills led to the death of her parents (who, by the way, their parents look a lot like her and Hitoyoshi). A sad backstory, but the really sad thing is that Yuki lost her favorite sauce. Priorities, right?

I knew the pink-haired girl couldn't be her younger sister - it makes more sense that she's someone who looks up to Yuki. Still, that she's skilled enough to go unnoticed even by Grace is definitely intriguing.

Recall that she has some difficulty remembering parts her prior life, and thus may be filling gaps in memory, like faces, with her current experience. Or maybe Hitoyoshi is related to her father?

I didn’t expect Yuki running out of Katsuda sauce and having bad dreams about it to turn into her dreaming of her incredibly sad backstory, I just wanna laugh at the silly made that likes sauce, not feel feelings lol. But yeah that shit was rough, never would have thought Yuki was so talented as a kid that she made it on TV, but that was exactly why she was hunted down and her parents were killed, it really hurt to see that happy family get ruined, I’m glad they spared us the details beyond the fact they died, don’t wanna see poor Yuki have to experience that again, the melting backgrounds was a cool way of showing that anyway.

But thankfully Yuki has our boy Hitoyoshi to soothe her soul in times like this, he’s been an absolute real one ever since his place got cleaned up. But all is not sadness this episode since we got some buildup for the upcoming Katsuda Festival with a grand prize of premium Katsuda sauce, you know Yuki ain’t missing this lol, it’s just unfortunate her grades aren’t looking so good, a bit surprising since she was a child prodigy but maybe it’s because she was so focused on being an assassin that she became rusty in book smarts. And yeah I’m starting to think Hikage is not Yuki’s sister, it just seemed like that’s where things were pointing with the mention of it last episode but I’m not so sure anymore, she still seems interesting tho of course. And lastly, wow so Hitoyoshi has friends huh lol, they seem cool, I like that they gave us a bit of juicy info that Hitoyoshi used to be a chuunibyou, I’m sure Yuki would be into that lol.

The Katsuta sauce took one for the team.
The was a sad backstory for Yuki and her sister, both kidnapped by the assassin group.
Nice to see Naka interacting with Yuki, I want to learn more about her.

I have ADD, ADHD & AUTISM, but this won't stop me. Let's keep having fun together.

Damn, Yuki's been having terrible nightmares with that of the sauce talking down to her that included more details about her past, and fears of abandonment. Hopefully if/when Grace gets info about her sister it will be positive news plus she has a classmate that is looking up to her in that pink haired girl (which turned out to not be her sister (at least so far)).

Theory: Or maybe it's the same father. Perhaps Yuki's father managed to survive and started a new family, where Hitoyoshi was born (he's several years younger after all). Her former master, who knew Yuki’s origin well, sent her to that house to meet again with her father and family, but she met his son instead. So, this would make them half-siblings. (this way, we get another incestuous Yuki this year).

@quintopia

-Lack of motivation or taking it seriously (if it's to win sauce, she'll definitely get a 100)
-Her brain fried after spending almost her entire life doing non-intellectual tasks like killing.
-Technically, she's an uneducated taking high school subjects; just getting that score is already a prodigy.

The poor Katsuda sauce was sacrificed in the effort to save the signed CD. Poor Yuki ended up having terrible dreams because of that considering that new supply for the sauce was still a week away. =(

Not only that, but Yuki's dreams does shed a bit of light into what her backstory could be and it was an interesting one at that. The theories in this discussion thread does make me more curious, but I'll play the patient game for the time being. In the end, it was nice to see Hitoyoshi doing his best to comfort Yuki.

We also got to see more of Naka, the pink-haired girl from before, who made her move so quickly that even Grace didn't notice her at all. Her goal of wanting to win the festival is cute, which should spark a nice rivalry between her and Yuki, although it does make me wonder about Naka's own backstory if we ever see it.

Overall, this was a pretty nice and informative episode.

Backstory time: Yuki was born as Maria. She was a child prodigy, so she was kidnapped and her parents were murdered. That's how she became a kuudere.

The pink haired girl is her imouto. I believe this is the case, unless she's a red herring. Time will tell.

Seeing Yuki’s tragic beginnings was eye-opening. She endured the traumatic experience of witnessing her parents being killed in front of her and was subsequently forced into a life as an assassin. That’s a heavy burden, and losing her little sister because of it makes her situation even worse. Fortunately, she found Hitoyoshi and is now adapting much better to normal life. With her tragic backstory established, our next goal is to find her little sister and help make her life whole again.

Poor Yuki, the katsuda sauce junkie, has had to forgo her beloved sauce. This must be the worst torture she has experienced, even worse than any suffering during her career as an assassin. However, our introduction to Naka turned out to be worthwhile, as she saved the day for Yuki. Additionally, seeing Hitoyoshi comfort Yuki was so sweet. It’s refreshing to see him not act like the typical main character in most animes. He is there when needed and doesn't get overly flustered or push her away when she needs physical comfort. Now their class has a chance to win the special sauce that Yuki has been deprived of at the upcoming festival. Let’s go! 🤣🤣

That doesn't make sense. I hope they have a reasonable explanation for it because it's hard to believe someone could act so foolishly. Perhaps the trauma from witnessing her parents' death and becoming an assassin influenced her behavior. I suppose we'll find out soon enough.

one thing I don't really like about anime is they tend to run the gimmick into the ground, in this case, the katsuda sauce.
granted, I love the silmiar sauce as well, but only when it comes to certain food, I definitely will not use it in ramen, so I totally understand Grace's anger lol
