Well another great chapter by maestro Yukimura, it even made me wonder if they actually can make peace at this point... right now it feels like a distant dream. But this is the start.

Thorfinn is finally back and managed to convince the shaman about his intentions. The thing is though, the two factions will be able to move on from all this?

The tribes were promised loot from the shaman, while the norse will look more distrustful of the Lnu now. Also, coexistence is still a problem with the decease and promising to look randomly around to find a cure when you don't even know how it came up and how it was spread out feels more like wishful thinking if anything else...

This chapter was amazing. "No, I have no enemies." and "That is the way of The Great Spirit." went hard. Vinland Saga continues to deliver. I knew Thorfinn would survive, even if we are towards the end of the story. Will Thorfinn really venture out in search of a cure now? How truly noble of him to have such empathy and courage despite everything. THE MC ever.

Gonna preface that I absolutely love this manga and the mangaka, but is anyone else a little worried that there's increasingly more re-use of drawings in each chapter?

I understand this chapter was more dialogue-focused, but I couldn't help but notice that the same exact drawing of Thorfinn's face was re-used multiple times (pg 13 top-right, pg 17 middle, pg 19 middle, pg 23 middle). Same goes for a side profile of Thorfinn's face and the old Lnu man. I really love the detail in Makoto Yukimura's artwork, so spotting these details really stood out to me.

I know it's just a minor nitpick and mangakas cut corners all the time. I just hope our mangaka is doing alright and these aren't signs of him being rushed or anything.

Thorfinn is back!
Where he still wants to resolve this conflict with peace, where he also has no resentment towards the Lnu, despite having caused the war in the first place.
