Anyone else unsatisfied with the ending of this arc? At this point in time I feel like I was robbed of a beautiful action chapter where we would've witnessed Cecile saving Estian, instead of being given a time skip till after all of that.

The ending of this arc felt like it had a fine opportunity to tie up some loose ends such as the mystery behind the Grand sorceress and Cecile's abilities. Maybe the Grand Sorceress manifested to help saving Estian because she was sick of watching her daughter die over and over again or maybe she could've interviened because the universe believed that Cecile MUST die or something.

Of course, there still is the other 39 chapters after this but chapter 64 seemed as if it were a half-ending, or would've been the ending if the new conflict arc wasn't introduced in chapter 65.

I think the upsetting thing about these chapters (besides not getting to witness Estian being saved) is the abrupt transition between the arcs. It felt as if I had watched a delicious soup be made just for half the pot to be poured down the sink and the recipe be changed.

I'm probably missing information which is causing me this confusion but I'd like to know if anyone else is as lost as I am?

@wewe_exo I think 24 is how many chapters is in the first volume. I don't know why it hasn't been updated to include the chapters of the other volumes.

@wewe_exo there are 24 chapters in print and 104 chapters in digital. I don't know why they decided to keep them together as one page here on mal with the huge difference.

The author seems to have a hatred for action in this series. They tease us with the thoughts of action only to deprive us of any actual combat or proper story progression. build up build up build up, next pannel okay guys arent you glad that all resolved itself? we aren't gonna tell you how it did, just know that because we had all these people here, it all worked out. It would be too much work on the author and artist to actually tell you how it worked out so just use your imagination and know that was good enough.

MAL always refers to the print edition when available, as that's the most official and professional rendering of the work. It's also because Webcomics were not allowed a few years ago, so some Webcomics that got only partially printed are listed in the database with that only that partial part. You should always be able to find the "More Info" tab, which precise the situation of the Chapter count : https://myanimelist.net/manga/144441/A_Villainess_for_the_Tyrant/moreinfo

That remove some possible inconsistency, but as not many Manhwas are actually printed, that still create some more.

@Alexioos95 I like that manhwas are usually in the webtoon format. They are easy for me to read and I don't have to zoom in on pages to read them like with manga. I have bad eyes and it is hard for me to read manga. Manhwas usually have bigger font and they are in color. it is a shame that mal treats them as such. The idea that something has to be created in asia for the asian market also kinda irks me. I wish they didnt have that kind of rule. I just want a place to track what I read and find more things to read.
