| Anyone know who is the lead anime director of Dandadan episode 7 - aka masterpiece of an episode? Also what other work he/she done in the past/ which anime/ which episode? I'm genuinely intrigued after watching Dandadan ep7 and want some more. |

Animation director is the person who actually directs the animators and works with them. A director just overseas the people and is like a manager.
| @DaddySnoreBucks An animation director doesn't "direct" in the literal sense, their role is mostly to supervise and apply any corrections to work of key animators. There's a distinction between animation director and episode director for a reason. |

incorrect. Enomoto only storyboarded and did AD work. The director of the episode was Kotaro Matsunaga

| Btw a bit off topic, if any of you enjoy anime with these type of touchy family matters, I recommend to check out: The Yuzuki Family's Four Sons It's obviously not as tragic, but it gives a similar vibe. It was my anime of the year from 2023 though :3 |

@Anime_Skaddiel I’m not saying he is a bad director. I meant he doesn’t direct a lot and could be a good new director with a great team. So it’s hard to say whether he is great as a director. Also I am not wrong in saying that he doesn’t have many past credit and experiences in animation director like Enomoto. From the ok episodes of second season of Love Live to this great episode of Dandadan is a huge jump. I don’t think he would have suceeded without Enomoto and the team behind. Remember Enomoto has worked on big titles like Your Name, Heavenly Delusions, Inu Oh…. These series have great animations and Enomoto was involved in them.
