A finale that did absolutely nothing to hold back my growing disdain for the series.

Try as I might, I see no redeeming qualities to this show at all. I can say it's just (barely) watchable. And it could (barely) be categorized as a "medical show", which I'm hoping we get more of. And I guess Elise is a hardworking and kind person... even if she's completely bland and absolutely perfect in everything (except handwriting, of course, how amusing!).

It's been a whole lot of nothing, and I was looking forward to it. Supposedly the manhwa is much better, but I lost all appetite to check it out.

Mikhail coming to the rescue. Honestly with what we know about him so far and during Elise's previous life, I'd rather root for him and Elise to be together. I don't dislike Linden at all, but his feelings do appear to be more circumstantial (understandable, but still). I know that with the way the story is going, there's a very small chance Elise doesn't end up with Linden, but even if they are a "good couple", you'd think all of the trauma she faced in her past life as Elise with him literally burning her at the stake and just generally treating her badly would result in their relationship not working out here, even if it was her fault in her past life (psychological trauma has nothing to do with logic after all). We know she still dreams about her past life and how he gave her such a cold look as stones are thrown at her and she is set on fire. I can't imagine dying that way wouldn't leave lasting psychological trauma.

Otherwise, it makes sense that the finale would be a risky surgery, although I find it funny that it was left up to the crown prince to decide when he is literally under suspicion for the entire thing (how did they even let him out of his confinement? Also, why is Mihail not there?) Also, if the cause of his illness was lymphoma, does that mean diabetes was a misdiagnosis? Or is this just in addition to that? I find it funny that people are complaining about emergency situations happening every episode. This story is literally about her as a surgeon, what did you want to see instead? Obviously the story isn't showing us the regular days where nothing of note happens, that's how pretty much every story is...

People complain that she is perfect/mary sue, but that is ignoring the entire setting of the story. She was a terrible person in the past, and clearly has learned and is now living a third life. Her crazy medical knowledge is due to her hard work and dedication during her second life. Of course she would have a clear advantage when she has all this knowledge that no one else has. She's clearly had the chance to fix both her personality and her knowledge over the course of multiple lives, driven by the utter disastrous ending that was her first life.

Then you have clowns that complain that the show is barely a medical show, like huh? Were you looking for some documentary instead in a fictional anime tale? What other series is even more "medical" than this one? Personally, I am quite satisfied with the medical aspects. This show is what I was looking for in Isekai Yakkyoku, but that show veered too much into fantasy, whereas this show stuck to what it was supposed to be about, her third life as a surgeon in her past life setting.

The manhwa is better than the tv show. I wish the tv show went by the manhwa and story better. Then the show would have been good.

This is such a beautiful ending. Is there enough material for a season two of this?

This was heartwarming and inspiring anime. Also I liked the more technical part of the anime.

since Elise are so fixated to become a doctor, I was wondering what happened to Julian though?
She love the prince genuinely but up to this episode there's no indication that she had a chance even after Elise said that she's not worthy to become empress.
I feel bad for Julian, honestly.

Good show. Would recommend for any doctors. Some of the medicine here is really legitimate.

I like overpowered MCs. Elise was very sweet and likeable too. Good voice actress moreover.

Very doubtful there would be another season. But it wrapped up nicely.

Basically Seijo no Maryoku, except the topic is gardening but the medical field, lol. Does that mean I disliked it? Nope, not at all. Solid 7/10, imo.

Very average anime. I watched the whole thing. It's in the category of something you'd better never touch, because there's a bunch of better stuff out there.
The visuals are terrible. The animation quality suffers. The backgrounds are lousy. The sound is there, but nothing more.
There's a lot of cardboard in the characters. They're very simple. The plot itself rolls from one Deus ex machina to the next. Elise is a walking disaster. Everyone around her gets violently ill, and badly, also alternately and only when Elise is around. The staging of the scenes often makes you laugh. The attack in the fog, the meeting in the alleyway and the burning theatre are particularly cringe-worthy.
The medical theme is poorly developed. There's not much to look at. If you understand even a little about the subject matter, it becomes very sad.
The aristocracy and intrigue theme - same as nothing. It's even worse than a school production of Romeo and Juliet with laughing schoolboys. And even that looks more natural.
Cheap anime about all sorts of isekai healers, pharmacists, doctors is nothing new. The zombie masochist cleric and his substance X was at least fun to watch. There was some originality and logic there. This is just bad.
Just a waste of time. Watch something else. As a generous God I rate it high anyways.

I’d like Elise to end up with the sexy.. ahem.. esteemed Dr. Graham. They could live a fulfilling life of medical exploration together, in sickness and in health.

I don’t like the Crown Prince. The details on her first life were pretty vague, so all we know was he ignored her and treated her like a nuisance, then executed her 🤷‍♀️

And in this new life, I’d go so far as to say he only wants to posses her, since marrying her would crush her hopes and dreams. But maybe if he stepped down from crown Prince to be with her then I would see it as genuine. Participating in those tricks to back her into a corner during the ball was three thumbs down.

Why did she leave the door open with the wager when she could have had her dreams realized? That’s asking for trouble smh. She’s like 60+ years old at this point so I can’t blame it on niaveity.

Lastly, I am absolutely enthralled with Elise’s dress designs at the balls. I’m not a fashionista so I rarely notice/care about things like that, but the simple beautiful designs really delighted.

Does the manga explain her first life better? Like wtf happened?

"What a shame!" Prince Mikhail’s line perfectly sums up the opening of episode 12.

He lets the two murderous nobles escape, while the show has him take down the usual three dumb henchmen. It should’ve been the other way around. The mercenaries should have dropped their weapons, while the nobles, sensing their end, should have fought desperately.

Then, Elise cuts open the Emperor, finds a blood clot, and saves Prince Linden’s career. Yet, there’s no mention of any punishment for the nobles who tried to harm them both. Her rushed exam was one of the most convincing parts of the episode, especially when compared to the illogical shenanigans from the last two episodes.

They really took a decently average show (despite all its flaws) and ran it into the ground within the last two episodes. That’s quite a feat, in my opinion.

And to top it all off, there was absolutely no romantic development between any of the characters, which only added to the disappointment.
