THE ONE PACE IS REAAAAL
It would be hype if they edited all the arcs post timeskip, their pacing is so bad.
This would really fix the one piece anime.

Nobody expected this, considering there's a remake already in progress, but it's okay.

@DioBrando_69420 Note that it is not a remake, the remake is done by Wit and what we are getting for Fish-man Saga is a remastered version.

@AmirKazeXD The important part is that its a re-edit that makes it much shorter.
Which will definitely solve the pacing issues and also solves a lot of animation and art issues.

@DioBrando_69420 Yeah I'd love to get especially a re-edit of Dressrosa.
After the timeskip One Piece really lost me and after Dressrosa I just dropped it for the god awful pacing.
If they re-edit all of this and compiled it into a show I think it would be great.
I really think more anime should adopt this kind of thing.
Dragon Ball Kai is a great example of this too.
If only Boruto did this... For its like 80% filler...

@Shidoteki Yeah, let's wait and see what they are cooking for One Piece.

@JaysonNnN No cuz this is an edited remaster.
The One Piece will be an actual remake where characters and the story will have slight changes (which I believe will shorten the story while also improving it dramatically)

sauce? I was under the impression that it would be more faithful to the manga...

@Vipadus Oda himself told Wit Studio to make the show its own thing so it sounds like they have the creative freedom to adapt the manga how they want to. The story will probably be a lot more faithful to the manga, just don't expect every little thing from the manga to be included.

@Vipadus Nah, aside from pacing, the Toei version the anime is already very faithful to the manga after removing filler. Down to where even many of the different camera angles/shots used in the anime are straight from the manga.

From what I understand about The One Piece, it's a remake and not a remaster. Like the other guy said, Oda is giving them the creative freedom to adapt the manga in a new way, while still staying true to the original story. So while the major plot points will be the same, they will make changes to the pacing, animation, and artwork in a way that reimagines the story in a new way. They might streamline parts of the story or even straight up remove or add minor plot points to make the story flow better. And many of the biggest people involved in the production are bit One Piece fans, so I don't think we have to be too afraid that they'll mess it up.
