I like how they're treading the line carefully, between the cynical, edgy political maneuvering and the charming "little girl beats the crap out of bad guys" fantasy.

But honestly, the show will have to give up on one of those, sooner rather than later. Already, her OP-ness is just removing challenges and difficult choices. When the mercenary guy threatens the northern soldiers to hand over Jill if they want to live, there was absolutely no reason for the soldiers to comply, when she can punch through walls and leap over tall buildings like Superman. A choice is difficult and interesting only if there's a very real threat to them dying or a benefit to them making compromises.


Same here. I guess it's kind of obvious, in hindsight. With the military uniform and everything. At least she isn't an outright psychopath (but maybe that makes it less fun for some people).

@perseii Her weakness is the people around her. She would have been fine, but if they had burned down the church her soldiers would have gotten hurt/killed. (admittedly they undercut that when she took out the whole group in like 1 second, but whatever) Also, she can punch people all she wants, but you can't (always) punch political problems away, so she has to be at least a bit clever about how she does things, rather than just brute force everything.

Also, in the end the problem she is REALLY solving is preventing the Emperor from becoming evil, which is not something she can punch.
