| does anyone else get the ick from the way the become leticia's wings? in the case of it's really gross to me? like the author set up this entire reason to be sympathetic to the [character who doesn't want to become a wing], and why we as readers would also want things to get better for them, but then throw all of that out of the way because leticia's a better person so it's fine for them to unconditionally love her because she wouldn't do anything bad. but like it still overwrites their emotions...it still manipulates their mind. why have this entire runaround of being like "yeah the fact that being a wing manipulates your emotions and stuff is really terrible" and then just do it anyway and pretend like everything is okay? like i don't want these characters to be wings, i feel bad for them because they no longer have the same level of autonomy. i find it gross idk |
