| Finally things get interesting again Oreki gives his theory for the plot of the movie, and it's pretty much exactly what I had in mind lol But it looks like they left out one detail: the rope. Which yeah I forgot about it too. What was the rope for? Also not too sure how to feel about this show rn. I really didn't enjoy the last two episodes, and I didn't really enjoy this one either until Oreki finally gave his explanation and reached the end. Throughout most of the episode I just wanted it to be over :/ |

| It's been fairly obvious for a while that this whole thing has basically been setting Oreki up for failure to knock him down a peg, but I do think his friends are all pretty harsh in how critical they are towards him for getting something wrong for once. Chitanda's gut feeling about these things can become a bit annoying at times, but it does balance out Oreki's approach well by alerting him to blind spots he's missed: solving an actual mystery is one thing, but deducing authorial intent from an incomplete narrative is another entirely and it certainly seems to be Oreki's one weak point. |
