The main idea of the story was pretty cool, though all the "seriosness" felt kinda out of place, especially since it made all the characters' dialogues so stiff (literally, the same level of fluidity as in SDX 2003, not even exaggerating. Anyway...

Here's what I found weird:

  1. Where do the people get all their stuff from? If human cities are so messed up by all the other races' attacks, then why do they have electricity (the Resistance HQ clearly had illumination)? Ok, they might have generators, but if so where do they get fuel for it? If their city is underground, they can't rely on solar energy, since the sunlight doesn't pass through. They can't build a power plant that runs on gas or oil either because it needs to throw away the waste somewhere (in other words, if there's a power plant underground, the entire city's population would end up suffocating from all the CO2 (and other poisonous gases) that the power plant "erupts".
  2. Given all the above, how do they produce weapons, ammo, vehicles?
  3. If the elves with dwarves can strenghten bullets with magic by enchanting them, why are they still using bows and arrows?
  4. You make a clear reference to Dante Alighieri but make no references to Divine Comedy... Why? Why not make some references to the nine circles of Inferno (Hell) to show that your high school Foreign Literature (that's how its called in my country) were worth it?

Also, I am just overthinking or is the main girl's name a reference to Jeanne d'Arc?

This anime world-building is just flawed on so many levels.

Either the anime massively skipped things, or the light novel itself is rushed.

For 1 and 2, they didn't really go about it in-depth as to the how. They left it vague and as a "it's what we do kind of thing" for humanity. My guess is that in the current timeline they still have good enough technology since humanity was driven underground from the demon race. So while humanity was at the surface they had technology that was advanced. But after being driven underground they salvage what they could to maintain their militia. With it being vague you can say that the technology they salvaged is advanced enough to quell whatever criticisms you may imagine from comparing it to our current technology. It's left to whatever they could say. An example being that they have powerplants using magic that they learned from those they defeated in the past 400 years of war. It could give more credence with Jeanne having the mid-life crisis of questioning if the human effort of fighting the other races was for nothing. So those 400 years of war could just answer whatever questions you have of humanities technology. It's just up to whatever the people making the anime want to give us as a explanation. Still half baked answers until they give us more lore about it.

As far as logistics go after defeating Vanessa you could say they linked up with the other Human Hq for elves then the other one for spirits and it expanded their logistics and supply. Other than that we don't really know much more about Human logistics.

For 3, Reiren is the only one we see that has capabilities to smith elven bullets and enchant them. Jeanne uses an elven bow since it's more powerful than the standard weaponry of humanity at a cost of draining her life force. As far as why elves would still use bow and arrows, instead of guns. It's a cultural/technology thing. Why use something inferior in firepower for every person using it and is an insult to the history of elves and way of life. The Elve race isolate themselves from using technology from other races and focus on their magic. Kai's weapon is made from the tech derived from elven bullets after their whole race was wiped out in the different timeline. Humanity is the type of race to take chunks from other culture/technology in order to further their own race which led to Kai's weapon being created.

I don't know where you got dwarfs from since there is no dwarf race

Episode 8, timecode: around 14:30 (Reiren mentions dwarves). Not sure if they're considered a separate race, so you might be right.

1 and 2 still unexplained but whatever – it's fantasy, after all. Being consistent in this genre is difficult to start off with.
3 – makes sense, because elves do seem to lag several hundred years behind in terms of tech.

actually, this show is trash! it doesn't even have a storyline ( I didn't expect much to begin with but it's not even wholesome) it's like a complete mess and useless anime...
