We dont know anything about it and its been 3 years
Since they did the teaser for S2 in mid 2021
NUT has ANNOUNCED and released bull buster, FLCL, the movie blue giant and NegaPosi Angler is about to come out that is an original anime
and if you compare it to the other Isekai Quartet + the others added in the 2nd season, since the announcement
overlord got a 4th season, Konosuba got a Megumin spinoff and a 3rd season, Rezero just started S3, Tate no Yuusha got a 2nd and 3rd seasons and a 4th already announced

I'm surprised too , maybe they ran into some production issues due to covid 19?

@MrBoomTop10Anime nothing to do with that. Shield hero get love because the production committee got international funding (through crunchyroll to fund seasons) while youjo Senki it's the usual production committee pattern so it's not on the list of priority of kadokawa judging from all their past release. Aside the movie and the apparition in isekai quartet it's less priority that overlord just by looking at release window vs announcement.

At least Tanya gets more love in a quality perspective. Shield looks almost like a slideshow compared to it. And let's not talk about the awful CGI lol

This show and made in abyss two shows i need in my life right meow but no signs of life in the near future. Hopefully someday we'll get updates on whats going on.
