I feel like the souls of Gorou and Sarina should've overlapped with Ai's kids. But when it was revealed that they were born Soulless it killed the suspense for me. Till now I've been thinking that Gorou's soul overlapped Aqua Hoshino's soul and it'll leave after Ai's revenge. Him reacting to Kana and Gorou's soul reacting to Akane's AI imitation felt like intriguing plothread. Why becoz Gorou was reincarnated the instance he died, why Sarina's soul was in the void for 4yrs , but it's revealed they were Soulless all along. I don't want spoilers on why they were born that way, but what would happen in the end when Gorou and Sarina's purpose and ambitions were fulfilled?

I think you are heavily misunderstanding the entire situation
This was said by Aqua in season 1, but even though he has his past memories, he is biological a completely different person. He grew up different, he developed different, and the death of Ai heavily impacted his development as a person. That is what Aqua means when he refers to Aqua and Gorou as two separate entities. As he is growing up, he is literally developing into 'Hoshino Aqua' as a person. There has never been any hint or evidence that suggests there is another soul inside their bodies other than they themselves.
So no, their souls will not get exorcised from their bodies once they complete their mission, but that is metaphorically what will happen. Heck, it has already happened when Aqua learned that his father was gone, he was finally able to move on and enjoy life, signified by him losing his star eye.
