Let's face it: there are many things to love about this show. The animation is stellar (at times), and the voice acting is phenomenal. However, there is one thing I have to give credit for the OSTs. I put it under the second season because many great tracks really stick out to me and represent some of the tragic events in the series. You have tracks such as YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T, which captured the entirety of Reiner and Bertholdt's betrayal brilliantly, and it still sends shivers down my spine to this day. Then there are the underrated tracks such as The Dogs and Barricades, which (in my opinion) show a deeper insight into the mentality of many characters in the story, including the soldiers, warriors and even the civilians trying to make it through with their lives. To name a few more, there are amazing tracks in other seasons such as The Reluctant Heroes, looking at how the people of Paradis really do look up to their 'heroes' the soldiers of humanity. One of my personal favourite tracks is Call Your Name, which I believe can be seen both in Eren and Mikasa's perspectives of the longing that they have to see everyday life once again with them by their side.
- This is my take on these tracks, please blame me if I'm wrong.

Obviously I can't mention all of this without giving credit to the one who made this possible. Hiroyuki Sawano put lots of detail and passioninto making each of these OSTs and his approach in making them sound the way they do is quite unique and, dare I say, breathtaking. Pretty much most of these songs were made with the company of an orchestra, which really does show the type of vision he has for this project. You can also really get a good idea of the depth and gravity of the situation either by hearing them within the show or listening outside and sort of reflecting back on the series in a sense. In my opinion, Sawano-san is probably one of the best artists out there and really helped elevate my experience as well as my love for Attack on Titan as a whole.

I made this mainly as a way to express my own feelings and thoughts of AOT's music as it really is something that doesn't deserve to be overlooked/underappreciated, plus I'm a firm lover in music and it's ability to touch the deepest of our cores just to get the message across. I know there are other great artists out there such as Shiro SAGISU and Yugo Kanno (to name a couple of more), but I just think what Sawano does and how well the music works in and out of the show is what really sells it for me.

Thank you for reading, take care! :)

You are right... I believe that too. Aot has some of the best Osts. Just a suggestion, It's better to make a "show spoiler" than writing some spoilers in the title 😅

Short story: Sawano is the GOAT, which I heavily agree with; there is a reason why he is in my favorites.

Sawano also has more amazing OSTs aside from AoT ones, such as Avid and Dark Aria. Like the AoT OST, they also capture the characters' emotions.

Hajime Isayama is truly the GOAT. He didn’t sexualised the girls and made a deep and amazing story. Everything in this anime is almost perfect.

LilaS is also a good ost and actually Hiroyuki's osts have meanings, like the strange ones from AoT actually represent which instruments were used and the date if I am not wrong and this ost "LilaS" when elaborated becomes "Lena is looking at Shin"...

AOT's soundtracks are amazing, yeah. The amount of effort put into these tracks is phenomenal and I also believe that most of the songs can be interpreted in different ways.

Vogel im Kafig is still my favourite to this day
