First of all (and I think it's important to point it) the title was already this one when the first volume came out (which means the first 4 episodes).
In the first episode we have Alya speaking Russian to Masachika and making gags with him. Alya is the focus.
Second episode they both play around with Yuki and Yuki makes fun of her + Alya and Masachika have time together when she goes for shopping. Alya is the focus.
Third episode we have Alya's backstory + the way she felt in live with Masachika. Alya is the focus.
Fourth episode we have Alya having a hard time with student council things and we see what clearly is going to be her biggest issue the one for which Masachika will show her the way. (Yes repetitively throughout the first season but you can see for yourself that Alya has always been making one step further each time she had to face student council things. She got on stage in episode 8 and tried to speak for herself while she barely managed to talk to the brats in episode 4. I can't talk publicly yet about what she is going to do during tomorrow episode but if you really want to know read behind spoiler

If you said that "Okay we are seeing her living up to the show's name every 4 episodes but inbetween she doesn't really seem to do something" I would understand but remember that Roshidere (in it's novel format) is based of the Japanese 4 times narration rythm of θ΅·ζΏθ»’η΅ kishotenketsu. Which consists of introducing the context, perturbing the situation and developing on it, plot twist, conclusion.
In the developing part we have Masachika mentoring her in the conclusion we have Alya show what she learned ( Alya doing something... ) and what she has yet to learn ( ...but she fails and Masachika saves her ) this rythm in anime format being divided into 4 episodes per book you get that Alya doing something significant every 4 episodes. This rythm will never change (maybe the adaptation will change the way it's animated if a second season airs but the story will always be told this way)
Exemple with the last book being animated :
Context: Episode 9 they beated Sayaka's ass and they reunite to discuss what happened and how Alya feels about it. Masachika goes to Nonoa and tells her they wish she does something about this
Perturbation and developing on it: Episode 10 Masachika tells Alya that there is a ceremony incoming for which Alya has to get ready and he explains to her what is going to happen and how it is going to happen. Mentoring her on how to overcome that challenge.
Plot twist: Episode 11 Yuki manipulates everyone and tries to make Alya lose self confidence before the ceremony. Masachika reunites a team ready to support Alya.
Conclusion: Episode 12 see you tomorrow if you didn't want to read spoilers above.
| @DragyG I have always liked Alya for first 3 episodes. But problems started after it I have no problem her fumbling one or two times but she done that 3-4 times. She shouldn't be having that much issues with that lofty of a goal. I get growing through the journey but her starting point is way to weak. The current president worked hard on himself before trying to get nominated. She is made a bit too incompetent to make Kuze a better support to her. Not really a fan of that. I get what you trying to say by little progress through each LN. But it's a bit slow for what they are selling. Currently Kuze is doing most of the work which ideally should have been shared. About the last episode..(I have way too Pro Yuki stance so take this with that as you wish) She invites her and then literally tells her "you know you are very easily walking into a trap shouldn't you reconsider" but Alya was way too stubborn and prideful and still accepts the challenge. I can understand a "weak" person trying to grow to achieve his goals but that person shouldn't be this prideful and overestimate his/her capability only to fail. After that I will admit Yuki played a very dirty trick she didn't really lied and it's all fair game in elections (as I learn from current geopolitics). But if it's not Yuki who I really like I would have been salty. She is just trying to win and as far I understand she have learned this things from his brother and want to make him more motivated so that can have an all gloves off battle. Yuki ultimately losing this election is inevitable (I think) and I am interested to see how they wrap up(I didn't read your spoiler) I just don't want to see her get trouncedπ₯². |

That's your opinion and I'm gonna respect that. However it'd mean you think a romcom is shit if you don't see H content for 12×25 = 300 minutes. Better watching porn than animes at this point.

About Touya it seems you didn't really understand his story. It's better explained in V4.5 than it was in the anime but basically he worked on himself during the election. Not before.

I don't know maybe because Roshidere has a tradition of having a volume in december, march-april, august-september.

| But seriously her name is literally in the title so if she isn’t important to the plot then it’s just fanservice selling point and also misleading. I’d much rather have Kuze as the sole mc at this point and make all the girls a side char. Or just honestly, make Yuki or Masha the fmc. I also don’t want to wait 9-10 volumes foe char growth, we are anime watchers here, we expect to see growth sooner otherwise we are just wasting our time with this show. |

The official twitter account of Roshidere just posted a visual from V4, with Masachika and Alya basking in the moonlight amidst tranquility. No further explanation required. I have no idea how well the anime did in Japan, but I do know for a fact that the LN is currently one of the best-selling LNs. And the release of V9 just above a fortnight ago only upped the sales. Regardless of whether there is a continuation of the anime series (which there most likely will be), the LN is, without an iota of a doubt, highly successful in Japan. |
