If Alya and Kuze win the election my score for the show will drop to a 6 or even a 5. Show is such a mess. what do you guys think? There’s no chemistry between Kuze and Alya, should’ve just made Yuki or Masha the mc. Alya is as useful as a npc. |

So you are just a Yuki fan … I wish you’d follow the story about the Male MC named Kuze instead. I want them to win and kick Yuki’s butt, so that is sticks in the craw of that awful relative, knowing that the guy he exiled from the family, beat his new chosen prodigy, which makes that relative a fool. At this point, I’m all in with Kuze because I am not a simp ππ with all due respect |

@ejleon No it’s more like, Alya doesn’t do anything, so if you have her win it’s a forced win and makes the show way worse than it already is. Also Yuki is singlehandedly carrying the show. |

I agree with you. Alya has very little presence in a show with her name in the title. Kuze and Yuki have been the main focus, so far, which is kinda disappointing. Bright side to it. I actually like Kuze and Yuki. |

@DragyG I’ve been checking the score since ep 1 since it went from 8.17 to 7.88; it definitely will drop the score. If you look at other forum posts the majority of people have been really disappointed with this show cause of Alya. If you have Alya win the election then it is a forced win which is also unrealistic. Just think about it from a viewer’s perspective, what even is the purpose of Alya? |

Yuki & Alya are connected to him, the student council are connected to him, and other side characters are connected to Kuze, he is the main focus. Both Alya & Yuki are the cute pretty appearance factor, their characters are almost the exact opposite with Kuze, one is the shy reserved type that hides her true feelings with the Russian language, the other is a loud outgoing otaku type, with the mastery of acting prim and proper while around others. |

@ejleon I’m gonna disagree, I don’t see how Kuze and Alya’s interactions are even helping with the show. She her character development is non-existent. The dynamic between Kuze and Yuki is actually showing something and is worth exploring into. Alya so far in the show has been a laughing stock, if you take her out of the show it would actually make the show better. |

If they win the election is because of Kuze I wouldn’t say she has a bad dynamic with Kuze but she’s not winning the election without Kuze. But I agree while I don’t think Alya is a bad character. Masha, Yuki and Kuze are far better. Hell even Ayano’s better than Alya It really feels like she’s just clinging to Kuze |

@Phantom_373 Exactly, hence it doesn’t make any sense why she’s a main character. She’s better off as a side character cause she isn’t contributing anything to the show. |

@ejleon At the moment, after this show is over with and if you ask me what I remembered. Most likely, it will be Kuze and Yuki, plus their problems with family. Alya at the isn't memorable enough to remember. It just feels a little misleading the character that the show name after is more fitting to be support than being one of the main characters. |

I agree with you that Alya is not “memorable”, I’d say Masha the sister is actually more memorable at this point. I think the show could’ve had a far better title that would have suited the show’s main story. And I’d suggest, that the only reason you remember Yuki, the female ninja, and the relatives, is because of their connection to Kuze, not because they stand out more than Alya. Yuki herself is not a unique character. |

It's "funny" that people in this thread keep saying "it's Kuze story", but he has only 300 favorites. And people are saying Alya is not memorable but she has 2 000 (more than Yuki with 1 300 favorites). I only saw 4 episodes and while I can agree that I'm already starting to feel that side chara are better than Alya, seems there is a lot of people liking her enough to put her in their favorite. |

@Rukodaime91 The thing is some people aren't actually watching the show and only reading the LN, idk how different the LN is since I only watch the anime but the anime has been a big letdown. I originally rated the show a 9/10 but then it just got slowly worse and I had to drop my score. |

@ejleon As much as I agree that Alya is pretty attractive, that doesn't save her from being useless in the main show. A lot of people would like characters purely based off of looks as well. |

@spiritualfox2016 Hm.. I wouldn't call her "useless", she serves a use as the attractive partner of Kuze and younger sister of Masha, Kuze's childhood friend, who has more of a presence than her younger sister. My opinion on the show is that Kuze is the hub for all characters in the show and he brings all characters into the story. |

@ejleon Yuki may not be unique but fits in with what's going on. She was forced in the role that Kuze gave up on. It's what the plot seems to evolve around on. It's partly why he feels and acts the way he does.
@Moppit You are right, she was forced by her relatives into that role and it does affect Kuze's actions and thoughts, she being "the most important person in his life", yet Yuki herself is not any more important to the actual story line than Alya is, the main story line I think is betwen Kuze and that relative that exiled him. At least that is what I have been focused on, it reminds of the anime "Chivalry of a Failed Knight", who also fought against his family exiling him and his sister still liking him. |

This is of course not to disagree with your point. I also agree that Alya is pretty disappointing as the FMC thus far Regarding Alya winning the presidency; it doesn’t seem like the story is even close to that as of now. So you will probably be waiting a decent time on that, which may be enough time for Alya to grow as a character in that time. |

If you have Alya win the election then it is a forced win which is also unrealistic. Just think about it from a viewer’s perspective, what even is the purpose of Alya? About Alya The problem is that you consider Alya's win at the end of the series from that viewer perspective. Once again (because it seems hard to understand for anime onlies) the elections aren't an arc. That's the main plot line of the series and the end of the elections = the end of Roshidere. So when you say Alya's win would be forced it's purely non-sense when you don't even know half of what happened before she wins. About Yuki I'm not going to vomit on her but seriously wtf? Most people saying Yuki is carying the show is because her actual personality is the one of a degenerate weeb when Alya is a little bit needy. Joke on you We know from volume 9 that her weeb personality is not her true self and only a tool she uses so Masachika will look at her and love her. Hoo Yuki is just as needy for the whole story as Alya was in the first part? How sad that Alya is actually the one growing up from the beginning of the story while Yuki stays as needy as she was at the beginning for the whole series. About ratings Most people expected a stupid brainless romcom just as the first episode was. Seems people on mal can't think a romcom can have an actual story. And this when you look at how they are yapping about the ecchi being gone and the "shitty student council thingy" explains the rating drop. If you think it's legitimate, ok. That's your opinion and I'm gonna respect that. However it'd mean you think a romcom is shit if you don't see H content for 12×25 = 300 minutes. Better watching porn than animes at this point. About Roshidere in case you watched Roshidere with the screen and sound turned off and / or are completely ignorant of basic storytelling Roshidere is a story about teenagers growing up. Yuki has never been introduced in the series as the one supposed to win the election but as a milestone for Alya. Alya would have grown up when she would have beaten Yuki. So you all saying Alya isn't doing anything are stupid. ALYA IS GROWING UP that's what she is doing and that first part of the series shows where Alya STARTS in her growth. She STARTS as a SPOILED SOCIALLY AWKWARD 15 YEARS OLD GIRL INCAPABLE of making people listen to her. And THAT is going to CHANGE that's why she is the one having her name in the title. (But hey, that's a simple story written for teenagers. Understandable grown up adults have a hard time understanding it. Wait shouldn't it be the opposite ?) |

Ther is no logic for Yuki to not win. She has more ambition a proper goal, established popularity. But Miss Soviet ice Queen will win because anime logic. I have respect for Kuze for carrying her this bad. In 1 v 1 (which most elections are vp has bit more influence here than normal) Alya is getting trashed now and will be forever. Kuze has even the field and obviously will beat Yuki in last episode. It is all set up. Alya has been most useless main character I ever seen in romcom. That will be tolerable but the FREAKING SHOW IS NAMED AFTER HER. Get that simp glasses off all she has done is flirting and getting flustered which will be good if they are selling a light hearted romcom. But they trying to make her big deal and she is falling on her ass each time only for Kuze to bail him out. If the show is about Kuze then don't sell as something else. Kuze is good mc. Kinda edgy and the author tried to make him OP for some reason but still miles better than main heroine. When a show is named after a character you expect her do something not get overshadowed by literally every single character. There is another anime airing 2.5D Ririsa which also named after main girl. But unlike Alya she is the focus, she is living upto the name. And no I don't have to wait 8-9 volumes/ 3 whole season for the main character to have some growth and grow some balls. You can delay romance as much as possible but atleast make the main duo do something. In that regard Roshindere S1 has failed spectacularly. In short Yuki will lose (her losing streak starts here) and Alya will get flowers of all the hardwork Kuze will do. The show is carried by Yuki (and Kuze to some extent) if you are denying it you are in delulu land. |

And that is how you make a full rant of failed predictions.
At least the story is going to surprise you, it seems
@DragyG if it does I will happily admit I was wrong. I don't hate this show if I did I won't be bothered to rant about it. I just said about my grievance.. But answer me has Alya so far(in Anime) lived up to the name don't point future events? |

@DragyG I have only read the first 3 volumes of Alya. So basically first season. The only example I have that's kinda like this is another novel called Altina the Sword Princess. Her name maybe on the title but it mostly about the life of her strategist, and in that she's mostly a supporting character. Alya gives me the same vibes as Altina. If you later she becomes more important that's cool. I'll give Alya novels another chance. |

But answer me has Alya so far(in Anime) lived up to the name don't point future events? She did First of all (and I think it's important to point it) the title was already this one when the first volume came out (which means the first 4 episodes). In the first episode we have Alya speaking Russian to Masachika and making gags with him. Alya is the focus. Second episode they both play around with Yuki and Yuki makes fun of her + Alya and Masachika have time together when she goes for shopping. Alya is the focus. Third episode we have Alya's backstory + the way she felt in live with Masachika. Alya is the focus. Fourth episode we have Alya having a hard time with student council things and we see what clearly is going to be her biggest issue the one for which Masachika will show her the way. (Yes repetitively throughout the first season but you can see for yourself that Alya has always been making one step further each time she had to face student council things. She got on stage in episode 8 and tried to speak for herself while she barely managed to talk to the brats in episode 4. I can't talk publicly yet about what she is going to do during tomorrow episode but if you really want to know read behind spoiler She will start her speech by talking in Russian about who she is and what she wants. Then she will explains her plans for when she becomes the student council president which consists of welcoming competent people such as Nonoa, Sayaka and even Yuki and Ayano in because she thinks Seirei Gakuen needs skillfull people to be the head of the students and that she is the one who can manage that future team. You can disagree with that opinion of her but If you said that "Okay we are seeing her living up to the show's name every 4 episodes but inbetween she doesn't really seem to do something" I would understand but remember that Roshidere (in it's novel format) is based of the Japanese 4 times narration rythm of θ΅·ζΏθ»’η΅ kishotenketsu. Which consists of introducing the context, perturbing the situation and developing on it, plot twist, conclusion. In the developing part we have Masachika mentoring her in the conclusion we have Alya show what she learned ( Alya doing something... ) and what she has yet to learn ( ...but she fails and Masachika saves her ) this rythm in anime format being divided into 4 episodes per book you get that Alya doing something significant every 4 episodes. This rythm will never change (maybe the adaptation will change the way it's animated if a second season airs but the story will always be told this way) Exemple with the last book being animated : Context: Episode 9 they beated Sayaka's ass and they reunite to discuss what happened and how Alya feels about it. Masachika goes to Nonoa and tells her they wish she does something about this Perturbation and developing on it: Episode 10 Masachika tells Alya that there is a ceremony incoming for which Alya has to get ready and he explains to her what is going to happen and how it is going to happen. Mentoring her on how to overcome that challenge. Plot twist: Episode 11 Yuki manipulates everyone and tries to make Alya lose self confidence before the ceremony. Masachika reunites a team ready to support Alya. Conclusion: Episode 12 see you tomorrow if you didn't want to read spoilers above. |

Well you stoped right before the big things start (Volume 4 is a vacation arc but the things it sets up are really important to the story) |

No it’s more like, Alya doesn’t do anything, so if you have her win it’s a forced win and makes the show way worse than it already is. Also Yuki is singlehandedly carrying the show.

If Alya and Kuze win the election my score for the show will drop to a 6 or even a 5. Show is such a mess. what do you guys think?
There’s no chemistry between Kuze and Alya, should’ve just made Yuki or Masha the mc. Alya is as useful as a npc.

Fine then it's not going to drop since the series will end with the elections.
Spoiler alert : Final episode is the end of volume 3. Volume 9 came out last month and volume 10 is announced for next year.
Have a nice day

I have not watched the anime yet.
You will be surprised at their chemistry when you reach volume 8 and 9. Alya supporting Masachika with the Suou household issue.
