| It had to really warm up with the pretty swampy start, but the 2nd half has been great. Top-notch ost, cgi and choreo again. The Xiao Bai interludes with the dances and all were so cute. Love how she just be chilling somewhere, but then swoops in to absolutely destroy everyone. Jin Ping'er had her moments as well. Biyao, we all know she ain't coming back from a 9 out of 10 soul deficit, especially when she lost all 3 "hun" in 三魂七魄 (san hun qi po) which relate to the spirit/consciousness. She has only 1 out of 7 "po" left which relate the body itself, that's why her body still remains. We all deep down want her to be revived though, so I like how Xiaofan still tries. Lu Xueqi representing the usual righteous vs evil xianxia romance and she finally "broke ties" with Zhang Xiaofan after confessing as a lead up to the final battle. Great xianxia classic. 8/10 Season 3 is already in the works with another 26 episodes, can't wait. |

| Xiao Bai so strong, she just toyed with the opponents, as expected of the Nine Tailed Fox. So the old man actually didn't die and we'll need to wait til s3 to see if he can revive Bi Yao or not. Looks like a new important evil character's gonna be introduced in next season. Hope the wait won't be too long. |
| last 6 episodes have redeemed the very slow middle half.....9.5/10.. faithful adaptation of the novel.....xiaobai showing every side of this character this episode...best 2 minutes if tge season...xueqi cant give up on xiao fan no matter how much she tries...xiao fan was able to break free of the huge shackles that he has in his heart for a moment to confess he can't come back...the shackles in his heart are too big after all... absolutely epic background song clearly states how he actually feels about xueqi... love is miserable for these two...😌😌😌  |

| Didn't expect it but this season is an actual step up from the previous one. Less amorous matters and denser plot and more action helps it quite a bit. Besides, the MC, who's gone to the dark side, is now actually competent and cool! That dark clothes blazing red eyes aesthetic is just cool as hell. Looking forward to season 3 now. |
