The first season started airing in July 2023, and this season is set to start airing in October 2024. I hope all the people involved get enough time and resources to do justice to Rurouni Kenshin. I just finished the first season of the remake, and I overall liked it, but one of my gripes with it is that the music or OST wasn’t anything special (in my opinion), so I’m hoping for improvements in that regard and other things as well, like animation, direction, etc. Lastly, I’m very excited for this season.

Fair, I watched the original series beforehand and found it to be a little bit more polished. The music was great, there were more characters in that series and ofc the art style was a fav of mine. (I’m a big 90’s art style fan). All in all it will continue to get better and this arc coming up will be good as well.

Hope you continue enjoying Rurouni Kenshin.

Totally agree with this statement. The 90s version was much better. The original art just fits the vibe of the time period the show is set in way better. The Remake looks just like every other generic Battle Shounen.

what we all need for this season/arc is that sound/background music just like the 90s anime that giving us a "intense" feeling when watching this.

I don’t know if we’re off to a good start considering the Kyoto arc will be getting just 23 episodes. I was expecting them to do 30-ish episodes but I guess it’s pretty doable? Only time will tell…
