| I didn't think the episodes could get any stranger, and I'm not sure what it was about this one but it just seemed so weird. I think it was the combination of this magic show in reality and then the really fast pace that just made it seem like things were happing so quickly. But, we still got that bit of info at the end that Youka is being refereed to as "the Witch Queen", so who knows how things will go next on this journey... |

| Man really dislike the rushed things at the beginning. Wondering a lot of those three beginning stations. But entering the new arc for Alice in Wonderland world of shogi always fun. Especially since its so wack its almost choked me into pieces. Tho pacing became truly annoying at this point. Wish this a 24 episodes instead of 13 packed one. Oh well cracky crackily.... |

Finally getting around to watching this show, and I wouldn’t normally bother commenting so after the fact, but any anime that name drops The Human Vapor outta nowhere deserves a mention, methinks 😄 More vintage toku horror references plz, anime industry 🤓 |

| When you think about it, the local world is a nightmare. The locals are in a kind of hell. And the further you go, the more hellish it gets. Some have chosen a short, happy life in datura trip, others are slipping into an animal state, losing their minds bit by bit... It's a very scary world. The girls see it with childlike directness and openness. For them, who have little experience of normality, the strange is not so strange. It's a bit like "Made in Abyss", and it also brought back memories of "Tideland". Also "American McGee's Alice", but without the brutality and gore. |
