assuming this isn't a bait post, the boy is so generic, and the story gets much more interesting without some bland standard isekai protagonist to drag everything else down

Yes it is actually very important as it demonstrates that this is a "post-modern" isekai. It's also a very interesting plot twist. "Killing" normal isekai, to create something new.

Outside of the meta narrative, it was the law for preserving the world, which is already destroyed by isekai-jin

so your telling me that you're entire basis for this opinion is based on only the first few minutes of the first episode because an unimportant character died. You can't say that it doesn't deserve a new season when you haven't freaking watched it more than 10 minutes

Having read the light novels, I can only say that although it may be a bit boring at first, the reveals and twists and lore are really interesting and a second season would be much more fun to watch I think.
And as for the first episode - her job is to kill isekai protagonists in order to prevent total chaos which I think is a interesting take on the Isekai genre: a story told from the perspective of a world which lives in fear of otherworlders despite their contributions to their world.

Why on earth are judging an anime because you didn't bother to watch past a few minutes after Menou killed that boy? They were already starting to get greedy with power when they said: "Anyone in my way. I can just erase them!"
Unless this is a troll comment, this anime has been explicitly stated to be a yuri one and has a female MC. Do you not know how to read? XD
