The manga has great art but in the current arc the pacing feels slow
I haven’t seen the anime yet but it looks quite good

@SoyDmo well my point is after you caught up to the latest chapter of the manga you have to wait for a long time on new chapters

I started reading the manga before the anime came out and loved the manga but the anime was so overhyped that my passion for it faded

I think this is the last season of the anime, so you could wait for the sequel.

Here is my explanation (assumptions) of why the sequel could be the last season: https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2169576

Biweekly, with breaks every 3 chapters (sometimes more chapters between breaks)

does anyone know how often the manga gets updated? like once a month or a week? certain day of the month kinda thing? I caught up about a week or two ago. I watched the anime first and came straight to reading the manga, and I'm loving it!! I recommend reading from the beginning and catching up

A new chapter appears every two weeks, on Thursday in the app Manga Plus. But the next one is on the 15th August, with the summer break

Wait. Kaiju is the perfect example of an anime taking the content and making 10x better. Manga is good but anime takes it to the next level. Although you could just do both.

That's Gum gum levels of a stretch. I read the other post. Kaiju was a huge success but you think because of new whiny manga readers that...what..? the manga will get canceled and anime will just rush it all into a final season? This doesn't make much sense. If they do 24 eps, then they could catch up to the manga, but 12 couldn't do it.

Man you spread some bad info, Kaiju has not had a break since March. So idk about that every 3 chapters thing. Counting this break, that will be 3 this year. Not a lot of breaks. The author is also putting out Side B every week so this is a much needed break for them I'm sure.

Edit - I do remember the author posting this but that's not what has happened.

This is information from the Manga Plus by Shueisha app, where the manga gets uploaded officially. By breaks it means that the new chapter is not a main story chapter, instead is a compilation of color drawings

I would say to read it. As someone who has been reading it weekly for years, seeing the anime after reading it just makes it even better. One of the best adaptations I’ve ever seen.

I think it's the soundtrack and the atmosphere that I makes you feel while your watching it than reading it. but in my opinion I think kaiju no.8 looks really cool in the manag.

The art is good but the paneling is poor. The anime doesn't skip anything and expands on certain characters. The Sub VAs are great. That's all we ask I a good adaptation. Can't stand when thy skip stuff. Anime also brins the kaijus to life. They all look alike when it's black and white

@DayRivia i dont like it when animes skip things either. i do like the monster designs tho. but we do get to see the in between chapters art which are colored. helps with the imagination tbh. what do you think of the kaiju sounds? like their roars and screams?

The pacing in the manga is actually some of the worst dog shit ive ever seen in any kind of comic. You have fights lasting over 8 months which is the same as 4 to 6 episodes of anime. the plot is so generic every time someones in danger boom someone comes to save the day ever fucking time, there are 0 stakes for any of the main cast. The only and i mean ONLY remotly decent part of the manga is the art which is very good. Hopefully the anime can fix the pacing issues otherwise itll be a massive let down. I can deal with a generic plot if the animation and pacing are good. But the manga gets a 4/10 from me.

@SoyDmo the pacing is dog shit a fight lasting 8 months and over 13 chapters which is the same as 3 to 6 ep of the anime, is unacceptable. The only good thing about the manga is the artwork which is fire, but everything else from the pacing to the plot to the main cast are some of the worst ive read from such a big serries. Genuinly believe reading the manga is 100% a waist of time and not worth it
