My question is whether Boruto and Kawaki are reincarnations of Ashura and Indra. I hope not because the literal point of Naruto wanting to bring Sasuke back was to stop the cycle of hatred between Senju/ Uchiha (at least storywise, I know that there are also other factors). In their last fight they even destroy the statues of Hashirama and Madara which symbolises exactly that.
Did Boruto mess that core theme of Naruto up? (I've only seen around 50eps of Boruto thats why I don't know myself and I'm not trying to hate here, the question just came to mind)

Reincarnation typically require the previous incarnation to be dead so no they are not.

They shouldn't be unless Kishimoto retcon this.

Dunno how they could even be since both Naruo and Sasuke are still alive.

thanks for all the replies. It was a dumb question since they can't be reincarnations while their predecessors are literally alive... 💩☻️🌚

Boringto and Kawasaki reincarnations of the time I was born as a slime and had to watch Sasuke versus dinosaurs and thunderburger ads for 200+ episodes.
