| I finish watching the second season and I have only one tough - is this basically new look on Kodomo no Omocha? Expect strong emphasis on comedy elements in KnO all other elements are similar. Same main pair dynamics and development of their relationship. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE both titles but damn comprehension is so striking! |

| I just took a look at the first episode of “Kodomo no Omocha”, Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu does not look anything like the characters in that anime. The girl is your topical loud mouthed obnoxious screaming female trope, while the boy is a silent don’t pay attention to anyone or anything, looking “cool”, trope. And the class students are going crazy. The first episode of Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu is nothing like that first episode. The girl is tall quiet shy cute kind considerate and loves to eat. The boy started off hyper focused on everything and everyone, being a fan of “murder”, feeling like life is meaningless, so he doesn’t socialize. And the class students are not going crazy. |

Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
| Yeah, I don't expect anyone take this thread as recommendation - because unfortunately Komocha suffer for "old anime trappings" - is overloaded and slower story progression. And like I said comedy is the main difference - we have the extravaged character traits of cast. So main girl to start is easy-going, optimistic, airhead, sunny-like girl with HYPER cranked to maximum - main boy is introvert with inferiority-complex and similar to Ichikawa's problems (and I must say - for "better" and darker reason). Unfortunately, first episodes focus on conflict between Mc's - serves as an introduction to their relationship and slightly mislead about characters. If you "can" stomach comedy elements and have plenty of time - You can try Komocha, it's take totally different approach in later arcs, when cast is older and their problems become more adult-likes, like @SakuraCosmos says - even more "emotional and romantic". |
