Well, Ars has talent for sure at someone his age. However, there's also Rosell that might be worth paying attention to with his hunter skills. He's quite a sensitive kid though.

Tbh, I wish they made their personalities better. I found it hard to invest into characters who are prone to crying or too sensitive in these type shows.

A 3 year time skip and everyone but Ars has grown up, specially Charlotte, and now he has twin brothers who by the skills they have seems will have a big role later in the story.

A three-year time skip, and it seems like Charlotte grew up nicely. I'm not sure if there will be any romance in the story, but judging by Charlotte's rivalry with Rietz, they might have something in the future.

As for Ars, he didn't change much in three years, but a great team is forming, and now with Rosell as a strategist, Louvent's domains will be stronger.

Extremely boring and predictable. Why isn't ars growing?
This show is pretty shit tbh. Hard to believe it has better ratings than the 7th prince show.

So Ars continues to expand the pool of talented people around him and even has twin siblings, cool.

On a side note I wonder how Rosell's mom passed away as Rosell blamed himself so I'm guessing a freak accident of some sort but they probably won't expand on it.

@Alfredo-Sauce

It was implied that she got sickly from the pregnancy and never recovered. In medieval times it was quite common to die from sickness in the time after childbirth.

Ah ok, that explains why Rosell blamed himself even though he couldn't control that.

hope the whole crybaby thing doesn't become a trope that lasts for his character. seems like a fine addition if he matures

ofc everyone is happy with Charlotte's development, though Ars seems to have stayed like, the exact same. she's a proper onee-san for him now 🤣

Charlotte really 'grew up' after 3 years. It makes you think how important eating well everyday really is.

Also, I guess it also surprises to see that Rosell is voiced by Okasaki Miho, the same voice actress of Rimuru from TenSura.
Overall, this episode almost made me cry, good thing I held it back as it might seem weird to people around me 😆

@Ryoda- Because the 7th prince show panders to a very specific fetish that causes cognitive dissonance for the rest of the society, has an extremely unlikeable Machiavellian protagonist supported by difficult to like cast (except the older brother and the knights) and feels like a running commentary on magic without a heart?

Then again, I've always been a fan of Ursula Le Guin - I like moral dilemmas as well as people striving to be better while trying to abide by some sort of inner ethical compass in any type of fiction.

That said the biological impossibility of Charlotte's current situation is hurting my brain 😓 I wish the author/character designer studied some biology before starting on this. Or at least got some advice from female acquaintances about the natural progression of things...

In this episode, the picture looks disproportionate, it looks like it was made in a hurry from the beginning and there are also some character facial expressions that are strange to look at.
Yes, especially on the face of the charlotte character, it is not well-drawn.

The Louvent family is growing in a lot of ways, which is for the good.

The new addition of Charlotte...has its pros and cons, and the Kischa family of capable brothers which they've heard so much about, their prowess is just as evidenced, enough for Ars to determine that both Gatos and Marcus have the affinity to add them to his army of capable people. Though the youngest Rosell...is the one that Ars has his eyes on as well for a maxed-out Ingenuity stat like Kuroda Kanbei. Despite being built different than the brothers in physical stat, Rosell's more of the intelligent kind...but he needs the brothers to accompany him for the separation disease.

The love of books meant that he loves reading, but in fact being the only brother whom can read and learn books on his own. Putting that to the test with Rosell proving he's got the brain to compliment Gatos and Marcus's brawn, and with a pack of boar suws, he's able to do so to prove to his father that he's indeed useful. But this only proves that Rosell remains hated by his father, since he was the cause of his mother's sickness which led to eventual death. And now, that role is passed from his father to the capable brothers, into Ars's hands.

An easy "passing the torch" moment for the Kischa family, but this is going to get very repetitive...

@Umi_no_Majo I mean, I have my issues with that show as well. I am not huge on the 7th prince show either but at least stuff happens there and the animations are good. It's alot more fun than this slug of a show, that's for sure.
The only reason I keep watching this one is because I kinda just finish every isekai. It's like some stupid challenge I gave myself.

@Ryoda- You should try Serial Experiments Lain, this one's the shinkansen compared to SEL's bicycle - seriously, I thought I was going through a time dilation event when I was watching that 🫥

Joking aside, I get that everyone needs something different from their fiction and not everything is suited to all kinds of audience. I also hate to stop watching halfway but had to drop Astro Note because of the female lead. I had the same reaction as Otae and Kagura had to Eromes from Gintama - lots of metaphorical teeth grinding and nail sharpening.

One thing I really do like in this show is that it doesn't alienate its female audience. Realistic, likeable characters, some psychological depth and a lack of misogyny/ objectifying women are helpful traits. It does take a stance against some common problems in medieval societies like slavery, extreme poverty, narrow world view and general xenophobia - which is something very early science fiction and fantasy used to do but is mostly forgotten by now as it became mainstream and a form of escapism.

the cringe of this anime never stops + badly animated this time

“Read as little as possible of critical or aesthetic works. They are either products of a close-minded spirit, petrified and devoid of meaning in their lifeless hardening, or clever verbal games [...]. Works of art are of an infinite solitude; nothing is worse than criticism for approaching them. Only love can grasp them, keep them, be just toward them. Always give precedence to your own feeling against these analyses, these reviews, these introductions. [...] You must let every impression, every seed of feeling, ripen within you, in the dark, in the inexpressible, in the unconscious, those regions closed to understanding. Wait with humility and patience for the hour of the birth of a new clarity. Art demands of its faithful followers as much as of its creators.”

@RealityChanges At this point I'm thinking Ars might end up egg-shaped with a bald head, funny moustache, big belly and short stature like Agatha Christie's Poirot. It's all in ze little grey cells mon ami, non? 🕵️🥸

HOLY they buffed tf out of Charlotte lmao. She was gorgeous as she was, but now she’s giving off real oneesama vibes. Her personality hasn’t changed much, still fighting with Rietz and teasing Ars. The 3 year time skip felt a little out of left field, but after a few minutes I was able to comfortably get into the episode.

Real tears were shed in this one with Rosel and his father’s story. Man, I always get emotional with single dads raising sons since I was so close to my dad growing up before he passed. Rosel’s dad may come off as tough on him with the whole hunting family job thing, but he just loves and wants the best for him. Everyone’s hurting from the loss of his mother and that sometimes causes situations like this where people struggle with grief.

I LOVE how they resolved things at the end with Rosel, his brothers and dad sharing an emotional group cry and send off. While he may not be a hunter in the traditional sense like his brothers, I can already see his upbringing influencing the types of strategies Rosel will come up with to “trap” his enemies.

This show is so underrated

3 year time skip?

And they haven't gotten anyone new? Thought MC was going out to look for more ppls to join his team... (but he stayed indoors most times)

Also... HOW has MC's appearance not change at all? Shouldn't he at least be a bit taller?... children DO grow in height quite fast...

But Charlotte grown huh... ( \ Y / ), I want to stuff my head between those too.

.

(BTW, I just saw a fat glasses mage dude that looked similar to a character from BrownDust2... lol)

.

Speaking of growing... MC has twin little-sis and bro now...

His father being "busy" with work.... was also "busy" with seggs huh... LOL

.

The new kid... has insane memorization skills.

Nice time skip, Ars has younger twin siblings. Charlotte aided well in the war efforts and came back spending her time off with Ars. Rietz joins and they investigate the new hunter family that moved in who have sons that are sharp shooters. Ars meets the youngest of the brothers named Rosell who has a high ingenuity stat and can serve well as a strategist but because he is introverted and weak he doesn’t want to join Ars.

Ars convinces him with books since Rosell is a book worm but doesn’t have access to a library of books. It’s definitely predictable but I’m glad it’s not just a trashy harem isekai, it actually focused on a variation of characters so far.

What a tear-jerking episode... 🥲
It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines
and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it,
is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service.

Holy shit how does this show manage to get even worse? This is literally shitty isekai bingo and ticking every box of. Why does the 14 year old need to have hentai levels of oppai? This is just insane.

Literally just not make the main characters toddlers and the show would not be as bad.

Do I even need to say anything about the utterly predictable and generic "neglected younger brother actually has the highest talent" trope?

Good thing his siblings have high skills or he would probably not even bother to remember their names! Because only born talent matters. This show is literally disgusting.

Ars still looks hella young, but I guess after the 3 year timeskip he's only 8 now and Charlotte is like 14 now?

Ars keeps finding absolutely cracked individuals. Thanks to the trap, I think his dad will be fine without his kids until he's much older. 2 sons are great soldier potential with this 5 year old being giga-brained strategist already.

5/5, it's such an [unrealistic] happy anime and I love it. I'm curious about the girl we'll see next episode.
