Decided to read this since I just finished with Devilman and it was actually a great first chapter. Classic Nagai stuff, I hope this doesn't end up leaving me disappointed.

well... brace yourself. There's a lot that's worth it in the manga, but trust me, Nagai must've been on something.

well... brace yourself. There's a lot that's worth it in the manga, but trust me, Nagai must've been on something.

I've heard mixed reviews about the ending, I'll see for myself. There's also that anime which isn't a proper adaptation I've heard.

Trust me i love the original devilman manga but devilman lady is legitimately one of the worst things I’ve read
I don’t post stuff on mal but i just have to warn you that its a very tough read to get through
I cannot stress enough that is the worst literature I’ve read including non-manga

The anime and manga go in completely different directions
I’d say the anime is boring but not as egregiously bad as the manga

2 Volumes in and so far, The art stands out to me. It's very good and the story so far seems easy enough to grasp. A lot of sexism here lol.

I do plan to watch the anime aswell.

The art is good since its go nagai
Its been almost two years since i read it so its hard to point out specific examples other than the excessive amount of sexual assault that doesn’t have the depth that a manga like berserk has with those topics
And yea the ending does suck so be ready
Im not gonna judge you if you end up liking the manga but i cannot stand it

There's so many things I dislike about this series, but the ending actually isn't one of them. While the art is definitely an improvement from Devilman, nearly everything else feels worse. I knew I wasn't gonna be a big fan of this one just by the may the MC in this one becomes a devil versus how Akira becomes one in the original series 🙄

It’s honestly a wild ride but I personally liked it more than the original! But that’s just me.
