Like, from this pacing, and the fact that the studio is very faithful to the plot , almost one to one adaptation , it seems like with just 27 episodes we are only going to reach about half point of the manga.

So are we going to have a season 2? There aint no way they gonna finish the whole story within 8 remaining episodes, given how faithful the adaptation is thus far.

Where did you get 27 episodes from? It has 24. We’ve just finished volume 6 content so I can see them covering the whole of 7 and half/most of 8 in the last 5 episodes. Also I would be surprised if trigger doesn’t do another season for the last 6 and a bit volumes.

the staff like director is a big fan of the manga and the anime boost of manga sales is big enough so yes 99% sure there will be a finale anime sequel

and season 1 will end in episode 24 not 27

Hopefully it will because it definitely deserves a second season.

I expect a s2 announcement at the end of s1, slated for 2025. We are getting used to incomplete anime adaptations nowadays, but that's because in most cases the source material is still ongoing. When the source material is finished, a complete adaptation is way more likely even if it means extremely rushing it to fit it into 1 or 2 cours.

Considering that Netflix has a habit of cancelling shows after only one season, I too hope it deserves a second season.

@Lilyitch691 don’t think Netflix get a say if there’s a 2nd season or not anyway as they only license it outside of Japan

The anime is a banger and seems to be very successfull. It would be more surprising if it doesn't get a 2nd season.

@Nirinbo

Trigger does about 1 show or movie a year, and i think the next one's gonna be the new Panty & stockings season. So my money's on 2026 at least.

@leftsockstealing makes sense, also because making another two cours season takes time.

I really hope a season 2 announcement. The way they are adapting the material in this season, S2 would be the final one too

@deg with this many streaming services financing content I wonder if manga and BD sales still are the metric used to decide if there will be a 2nd season
