| New fear unlocked: getting abducted by a demon while in bed ...or wait, isn't that just the fear of monsters under the bed? I guess it's not really a new fear after all xD Nezuko was cool this episode! Good thing she was hypnotized to protect humans! Although if they come across someone else with a good sense of smell like Tanjiro and they notice that Nezuko is a demon, maybe that could lead to trouble for her and Tanijro :O If there's only one demon who turns humans into demons, then why are there so many demons? is he in charge of turning everyone into a demon? Or I guess there could be demon babies or something too |

| Tanjiro's first job, and he goes up against a demon that can submerge itself and split into three. So Muzan Kibutsuji is the main, main, main foe that Tanjiro will have to look for, eh. Lol, at the hypnotic suggestion. |

| Now that the whole intro phase is over and ufotable rushed through that a bit, they're taking it a lot slower now, given that Tanjiro's a Demon Slayer now officially. The episode itself was just kind of there but there were a couple of key revelations here to prevent it from being a meaningless episode at least (Muzan, Nezuko being hypnotized to be safe by Urokodaki to defeat demons who are threat to humans and basically joining in the fight with Tanjiro). |

| this episode was actually kind of horrifying. all too often i feel like a “demon” character in anime is less horrifying and more just cunning and evil looking, but this demon felt like horror movie vibes and i really loved that. |
| i dunno get what the author is planning to do, she is just skipping and rushing main or crucial moments and the information doesn't give sufficient shit about these things like that hypnosis moment, I mean, why was it revealed in a fucking flashback nor in a present time??? if it was shown before that the wild nezuko 's jumping scare would not be a very convenient moment... |

| That was one of the best animated episodes I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of anime. Ufotable, one of the goats for a reason. |
| As expected, the anime is now moving to particular stories about a demon that is causing trouble, and in this case, it's a demon that is taking young girls at night, without anyone noticing. Honestly, the way the demon just melts in the walls and floor is really scary, and shows how unsafe all the girls were, even if they were at their own home. The concept for this demon was really well executed, especially with the shot where he kidnaps this girl we saw in the episode. With the reveal that the demon has eaten every girl that has kidnaped, including the one that the boy that we saw last episode was with, was actually really sad, because I was expecting them to be able to reunite (especially because it's hinted the boy had feelings for her). It's really sad :( I'm glad Tenjiro has been able to keep up with the demon, but Nezuko's appearance was really cool, and it was exactly what was needed for Tenjiro to be able to win that fight! I hope Nezuko doesn't get hurt! Also, we got the revelation that Tenjiro's sensei actually used some kind of hypnosis on Nezuko, and know she actually sees humans as her friends, and demons as her ultimate enemies. Really interesting that they introduced this, because Nezuko really only was friendly with Tenjiro so far. Nezuko seeing her brother in that boy and that girl was kinda sad in a way. I hope she can revert as a human, and they don't throw a "Tenjiro now has to kill his sister" moment. I would only like them to explain where Tenjiro got all those water moves, because we never saw him train that, he only used normal moves until the exam, and now he seems to be completely dominating those water moves. Excited for the next episode! Also, they gave Tenjiro a really hard demon as his first mission. Edit: Also, we got to know the main antagonist of the anime, that is the first ever demon. I suppose we will be getting a lot of backstory from him in the long run, but probably only on later seasons. I actually understood that any blood's demon that came in contact with a human blood would turn that human into a demon, which I was finding a bit weird considering Tenjiro got hurt in episode 4 and nothing happened, and that would be really hard to deal in the future too (they wouldn't be able to be hit), but it seems like only that demon can do that, which I personally like it more that way. This episode's demon also had that weird teeth sound, that only amplified the unsettlement feeling you get in this episode! |
