| The demon king teaming up with the hero to kill a giant genocidal magic ghost knight while his cheerleaders sing a song about love triumphing over hate was not how I saw this anime ending. It's honestly so bad it's good in a lot of ways, because I was entertained enough to finish it, which I can't say for a lot of bad anime. 5/10? Yeah 5/10 seems fair, and I'll probably check out the second season. |

| This is just another one of your dime-a-dozen generic seasonal fantasy anime, made to be just a little more special than usual with an overpowered protagonist who's even more overpowered than usual- WAY more overpowered in fact. Other dudes are just insanely strong, but Anos here is rewriting the laws of physics and such. And besides that, I just really like him as protagonist. Imo, he's just really likable and you can't hate him at all. Dude is the most powerful guy in his universe but he still respects and loves his commoner-level parents- or maybe that mushroom gratin is just really damn good. Other than Anos himself, there's one other thing that kept me watching: and that would be Sasha as a piece of absolute f*ckable meat pretty good tsundere- above average actually imo. But besides these two, and maybe the heart-moving bromance, I can't see it as anything else than mediocre and would've drop it from a few episodes in. Which I did actually, perhaps a year ago, but have picked it up again because the 2nd season is airing soon in about a week or so. Judging from MAL stats, it's the 2nd most anticipated show airing next season right after Vinland Saga. So I thought, f*ck it, might as well get on board this train. See you guys soon in season 2! |

| Ok I picked it up after it being on-hold for 2 years, had to finish it for season 2. Nonetheless, good ending. Some stuff reminds me of Code Geass there, even the same exact scene lol 8/10 |
| seriously cliche and overplayed message that is just oozing naivety but the ride was mostly good. last couple of episodes though were just kind of cringe. |

| They completely ran the "You really thought..." joke into the ground but at least Anos' mom and dad are likable as heck. On to S2 now. |

| Im not even mad, this is just THE ultimate power fantasy. Its a lot like Bastard! for kids. Its got super cringe but they doubled down on the cheese instead of pretending so Im ok with it. I do wonder why this has a second and now even third cour, but Im going to find out. |

| I heard of this because it got a 2nd season, but didn't try at first cause it did sound bad from the synopsis. Ended up watching it with a group fully expecting it to be pretty bad but hilarious, and well it was the unintentional comedy I thought it would be. Characters were dead forgettable, and the tone of the episodes was all over the place. What did take the cake was the number of times they bent over backwards to not have to animate the action scenes, and multiple moments when they did were 2 frames alternating back and forth. |

| Wowww lots and lots of BL vibes. "It was you, Anos. You were the one. My one and only Hero!" He came back with his hot Demon King fit when he respawned 😍🥵  A peek of his chest and shoulders  "We were worried sick when you heard that you were at war!" is so funny to me for some reason, cause in Izabella's mind, he's still a baby 😅 Anos broke his parents   And that's the last episode with Tatsuhisa Suzuki as his seiyuu 😞 It will never be the same |
| Man... that was one shitty plan by Kanon. The only thing you have to know about this is, that he tried to kill the protagonist numerous times with the target of saving him. He went complete retard. The show was pretty enjoyable until this last episode, since the story stopped making sense at this point. I don't really get why this show is so popular, seems like just another mediocre written power fantasy to me. Also the fan union's songs were super cringe. 5/10 |
| You know you've gone too far, when the Hero decides to reincarnate as a demon and the Demon Lord uses the magic of love against you. Well overall the anime is fast paced but not done in a fashion where it was understandable. It had a few good written twists and the plot was pretty good, it had immense potential. But the execution is god awful. Jesus Christ. |

| Very nice anime that amusingly subverts expectations for its duration. Anos obviously carried it for the most part, but the other characters were decent in their own right. Some really funny scenes too, especially when the flavour of the episode antagonists were humiliated in so many ways. I do feel like the worldbuilding could've done with some work though, since most exposition in this series was at least tangentially related to Anos in some way. More attention allotted to how institutions and societies in this universe operated would've been interesting. Lay was also recycled by the plot a bit too many times, at the expense of developing or providing screentime to others. The soundtrack and animation were serviceable as well. I'll definitely be interested in the next season, especially if it has more than twelve episodes. Fantasy series with large casts like this benefit with more time to showcase them. |
